As fast as you can invite your friends and family members who have mobile-phone or laptop or PC/Mac to check your new blog. And you can invite them via your facebook, twitter, or any social media account you may have.

That depends on what traffic methods you're using.

With forum marketing, you can have a few visitors on your first day even, but it's not scalable once it gets to a certain point.

If you're doing something like PPC, if you target your audience right you can realistically get traffic within a few hours.

If you want organic search traffic, you'll be waiting for a long time.

Anyway, if you want targeted traffic fast, pay for it.

    Regards,
    Daniel

If you want instant visitors, have a reddit account ready and able to post in the right niche sub. That is what I always use with new blogs. Just don't over do it! You will have around 20 to 40 views from one share.

Honestly you could have your first visitor in minutes or never.

Traffic doesn't happen automatically for new blogs.

You need to generate traffic. You could share your link on facebook, create a facebook fan page, make youtube videos. Make a tumblr. Buy Traffic.

The 500 visitors per day on your previous blog may have happened for many different reasons. It may be that it was before the Google Panda updates, when ranking a new site was much easier. We have no way of knowing, because we don't know when that blog was active, what keywords you were targeting, or anything else.

There certainly was a time when regular updates to a blog could get the site indexed quickly, and each new post would rank highly for a short period of time (just so that Google could gauge public response to the post).

That strategy is less effective today.

If you don't know why you were getting that number of visitors, then the answer is probably just "dumb luck".

Traffic won't just "happen". Your first visitor will be the result of some action that you take, and no one here can predict when that will happen.

The fastest way possible to get traffic to a new blog or website, is buying it!
If that is not an option then just try to create new content regularly and share it on different social media platforms

The reason I decided to blogging is because I want free traffic.

There is no free traffic. You pay with either money or your time.

The only way to guarantee you receive traffic is to buy it.

if you want free traffic, it is much better if you share your post to social media related to your niche. not a duplicate, a summary and make sure you get a signature on it.
