Big Fat Wet Kiss For html Help

by braver55b 4 replies
I would like to know how some sites have domain names where you can have for example realclearpolitics.com/polls (not my site) and yet I still have to have/polls.html at the end of every file I upload.

My question is how can I configure my html files where I no longer have to add the.html when uploading my files.

My host is godaddy

Thanks in advance for your help.

That is done by simply creating a sub folder
      on the site named polls.

Then inside it there is a index.html file, but
if you use the domain/polls URL it works even
if you do not add the index.html at the end.

      cheers

Thanks Jeff,JayXtreme but I don't have the standard control panel with godaddy and no htaccess access.

I guess I'm going to put in a help request to godaddy.

On second thought I might give Gian's (xmx) suggestion a try.
