Affiliate Marketing is a great choice. It will always be around in some capacity.

Try to get behind something you feel very strongely for it will make a huge difference in how you promote.

There are some marketing pros that could sell ice to Eskimos but it is still always a good idea to honestly feel you are recommending a quality product/service.

Try to remember any purchases you have that really impressed you or some product creators who you really respect and see if they have affiliate programs for their products.

It would also not hurt to even ask product creators/vendors how their top sales affiliates are promoting. Maybe they will share that maybe they will not but does not hurt to try.

Just remember with each affiliate platform will be a totally different process and policies on when you will actually get that money in your pockets.

If you try to learn it all first, it is a while before you start earning. So find a good coach and mentor and you will have other members to help you too.

Some might say you should promote digital products from ClickBank, and others may say to promote physical products from Amazon.

However, at the end of the day you are the one who needs to make the money, the affiliate platforms are just there to help you find good products.

I suggest you take some time to figure out which market or niche you want to serve, you only need to get this right once.

After you find a niche, learn how to build an email list.

Affiliate marketing boils down to these 2 things:

- driving targeted traffic / visitors

- and converting those targeted people into paying customers

You can try on ClickBank, JV Zoo, Commission Junction etc. Most important that you should do a market research before choosing a product. You should focus on Facebook to promote your product. If you can use Facebook effectively then you would be able to make good amount of money.

There are 3 type of business plans you can choose with affiliate marketing:
-building a list and promote affiliate offers to your list;
-build website and place affiliate banners, do SEO;
-PPC, for that use tracking software, once you will find winning campaign rinse and repeat.

I'm what people refer to as a super affiliate. Which I did through promoting PPL (pay per lead) offers, which is simply lead generation. There is no credit card needed for a user to complete an offer...no purchase required, so conversion rates are typically much higher. All a user has to do is fill out a form to generate a commission

I favor offers that have some form of make, get or save money angle to them. This is what has usually performed the best for me and tends to have the greatest mass appeal (likely to be of interest to a very large audience). So the potential to produce high volume exists.

In addition to lead gen, I also promote free sign-ups (dating offers for example) and free trials (electronic cigs, diet, etc...) With free trials however, the user typically has to pay s&h, but will be getting a product that would cost $60 by just pay like $4.99. So it's not a totally free offer, but still can convert very well. I will also promote a limited amount of offers that are 100% purchases, but in this case it all comes down to the offer having mass appeal or solves a house is on fire type problem.

Overwhelmingly my target audience is the freebie seeker, which most marketers dread because they want to sell something to them. Where most of what I promote is 100% free.

I've been doing it for 16+ years, so it does work and something to think about.

Clickbank and JVzoo are good places to start. But you should consider learning how to market ANY product online. You can't just get an affiliate link and throw raw traffic at it and expect to get rich. "Gurus" will tell you anything just to get their $397 sale.

I would suggest you to start with clickbank. And you will find lots of videos on youtube relating to selecting products.

Affiliate Marketing to me is all about what product you are selling. I did a bunch and never had any success until the one I started recently. I`m doing a free to play app game and it is just so easy to get people to sign up and build a huge group of people under you.

So to me success is all about the product.

I have to admit, I haven't read through all the replies so I have no idea if my answer is a duplicate answer or not.

First, you need to decide what you want to try to promote. Different platforms seem to excel at different things. For example, most affiliates that specialize in making money no longer use Clickbank, they tend to use either JVZoo or Warriorplus.

However, if you're looking to promote other info products such as health, woodworking, warts... anything not related to making money, clickbank is probably the way to go.

If you need money quickly, payspree is the best option.

If you want to sell hard goods, then use amazon.

I would stay away from Amazon. Unless you are successful in promoting high value items, the commission you get from Amazon is very low.


Picking a product is the second thing you should do. The first thing is to do your research. See what people are looking for and then find a product that fills that need. Don't be afraid of competition. If there's lots of competition, it means that there is a desperate need for that particular product and it is selling well.


The third thing you need to do is generate traffic to your offer. This is essential because it doesn't matter how good the product is, if no-one sees your offer, you won't make money.


There are thousands of ways to drive traffic. There are free methods and there are paid methods. If you want quick results, go to a site like udimidotcom and find a solo ad seller who has a subscriber list in your niche. You then pay them to send out your ad to their list. This can produce almost instant results.


Free methods of advertising do work, but they take a lot of time and effort.

Thought i would just chime in here with my thoughts.

Firstly i would just like to ask you- what are you looking at getting out of affiliate marketing? What is your end goal? or What does success look like for you?

I didn't think that would be important when i first started but it really is. Your goals and milestones are so important to your success- for you to visualize them and for you to know what you are working towards.

A lot of the lovely people on here have said about having a mentor- i agree completely. There are so many wrong ways to do everything, but there are so many tried and tested approaches that actually work that aren't being discussed fully in blogs and articles- in online marketing.

With this genuinely comes at a cost but i have found in the long run it really does count- and there are so many reputable mentors across the net that could really help you reach your goals.

The most productive thing i did, was set out my goals and then research a vast variety of mentors to see who matched my needs- you will find yours as well, i have no doubt it.
