Looking for best way to make a small income

Hello Warrior Forum!
I've been here on and off for awhile now browsing through things. I've spent some money on offers in the forum and i've spent money on "training" from various websites. Most of them ending up to be MLM or some kind of scam.
I live pretty simply. I could live on about 800-900 dollars per month.
I'm wondering in your opinion what would be the best way for me to achieve that kind of income?
I've tried freelancer and other websites, but I never have success. No one ever accepts my offers. I'm great at data processing/general computing/photoshop/photo editing. I'm okay at wordpress/web design. I don't know if I could use those skills in a different area to make some money or what would work best. I've made money on eBay and Rev.com(transcription jobs) before, but that's the only way I've ever made real money online.

My reason for wanting to get into online work is because of my love for computers and traveling. I love working on computers and I think that I am fairly decent at it. I'd also like the availability that working online creates, but I am more than willing to put the work in. Considering I have worked previous jobs over 70-80hrs per week.
Thank you so much,
deriegle.

You could try to market your skills on Fiverr.

Gigs start at $5 , but you can add upsells to increase your profits.

    Deriegle,

Since you've been on this forum for awhile, you have seen many people struggling to find a way to earn money online. They are willing to put in the work, but can't find the right vehicle to get them to their money goals.

One route to get you to where you want to be is to make money doing the things you love. In essence, you turn your passions into a business where you can sell something related to the things you love. You said you love computers and traveling. Can you turn that combination into something that makes you money? Who knows. People on a public forum that don't know you and your abilities, temperament, and work ethic can only guess.

Another route to get the money you need is to set up a selling system in a hot buyer niche and work at it until you can be consistently profitable. The niche probably won't be based on your passion, and you may hate the daily routine, but you do what you have to so that you can enjoy your passions which are outside the business realm.

Whichever you choose, you will be solely responsible for the amount of money you make and the work it takes to make it.

Contrary to what you may hear and see (even in this forum), there is no magic button that spews out cash. There are no "guaranteed" money making systems. Others can't tell you what is best for you. Being an entrepreneur is all about making personal choices and working to bring those choices to pass. It's about action and outcomes.

    Good luck to you,

    Steve

Find a group of people who have a problem you can solve. Whether you supply a product, a service, or an affiliate solution doesn't matter--just be able to provide a competent solution to the serious problem they acknowledge having. Read that last sentence again, carefully.

Get your offer, explaining the symptoms of the problem they have, the actual nature of the problem, and the ability to buy the solution, in front of them.

    That's it.

If you do that enough times, you will make sales.

If you improve your conversion tools, like your sales letter, you will gradually do even better.

If you collect the interested prospects in an email list, you can market to them again later...again with this offer or with related offers.

Keep it simple. IM is full of shiny objects with marketing designed to convince you that you NEED this or that. You don't. You need a steady stream of prospects with an acknowledged problem, and competent fulfillment of a solution for that problem. Run prospects to your offer and you'll make sales.

Ok, you can start with your practical & experienced knowledge. I think you should start with that niche, where you are expert. Here you mentioned that you have joined in many training, so you can start just now. Thanks for your advance.

I wouldn't give up on freelancer sites. They can be a great way to make money so don't give up there. I also agree sites like Fiverr may be worth checking out. You can also consider creating your own blogs and sites and monetizing them with things like Google AdSense or affiliate type ads. Good luck.

If I had that skill I would be creating hundreds of practical Computer Tip videos on YouTube.

Then add a simple website/blog and create or have someone create for you an eBook on the most common challenges people have with their computers..could also go into buying them, building them, upgrading, security etc.

Something you love and lucrative niche? I would be all over it.

80/20 rule, 80% of your results come from 20% of your effort.

Since you make money from eBay, why don't you focus on that?

You should study hard on internet marketing. Sounds like you have a long way to go, and understand that because you come from a computer background - it is a totally different beast when it comes to selling online (and particularly selling on your own website).

Let me ask you a question... if you had the ability to sell the Playstation 4 (PS4's) when they very first came out.... how would you get everybody to buy from you, if you sold it on your website? Easy hot product and demand right? This is the question that you have to figure out. Then you will gain your insight on what's the best way to make a small income online.

When it comes to freelancing, look for gigs that are selling and determine if you can crack the first few pages against the competition. How much of a leg start did the top sellers / competition have on you. This of course pertains to places like Fiverr. For example, I can see that it could be easier to get gigs for green screen acting than it is for doing voiceovers.

It's not hard to get a steady income of $800 from freelancing when you can determine where the market is, the competition level, and acquiring the skills and equipments, to get the jobs done.

Find a repeatable system that will make money. Don't be like me. Back in 2005 I bought colored N64 systems at the local gaming franchises for $25 and sold them on eBay for $50 (I believe they call it arbitrage now). The problem was that I ran out of inventory relatively quick, and was back to the drawing board.

One thing that many people never say, but actually works is to jump through the hoops to get your state resellers license, then you can incorporate, and get credit (not credit cards) so you can become an official reseller of anything you choose.

You know that is very good point. I was always hesitant to get into drop-shipping out of fear of being out of stock just when the market was on fire.

But I have since seen some very aggressive successful and fearless marketers who actually traveled to China and cut out the middle man and went straight to the factories and a few who even set up their own factory!

Have a web property do all the work for you. Either create a website that offers tips and tutorials for web design as you said you have knowledge on that, or create products like themes, plugins and sell them. If you do the right research, both could be successful.

First I would suggest you to create a product and list it on an affiliate network. Don't put an awful lot of time in it, keep it simple. Make sure to develope a product in a niche you are passionate about, so if you good at SEO. create a course about it or create a software tool. This will make you about 200 to 1500 a month on autopilot. once setup correctly.

Second thing you should do is to start bidding on Freelancing jobs. Find jobs you think you can do, write a good cover letter and apply. This requires patience, but works. Good for another $300 without spending much time.

Build a blog and monetize it with your own product or affiliate offers. Try to become a expert in something and professionally market yourself as an expert.

$900 is really easy to achieve actually.

I would recommend Kindle as it is the easiest and fastest way to get started.

You can also outsource the whole thing and you don't need to focus on hard things like drives traffic, build websites etc etc.

Do you specifically mean Kindle as in writing eBooks on topics and publishing them on the market? I could try this method, I've used affiliate marketing on Amazon with no much success, but I've never tried doing Kindle publishing before.

Also, Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I'm going to be thinking about the best method for me to pursue. I appreciate all the encouragements. I think I might be trying the Kindle/Blog route and try to do some Youtube videos on computers tips/tricks etc to help market my website/products/books & do some freelancing work as well. We will see how this goes. I want to succeed and this time I'm not in a huge hurry for success, so I can be patient and wait for the results to come.

You can try to invest in a real estate investment fund, get a stable profit and enjoy the work you like even if it is not much paid. You need just $1K to participate. I am not a representative of any fond so I cannot advise you any particular one I just think it can be a good option. start by building a list.

I know people cram that down your throat on here.

But the people on here doing well, and on WSO doing well have nice sized lists.

Plus, did you know if you got just 5 or so leads a day, FRESH LEADS, it could change your entire income and business beyond all belief. Just so you know.

Just sometime to try. My students who say list building does not work usually come back to me within months, and are absolutely flabbergasted how good it is.

    just my 0.01 cents.
