Best service for entering emails manually

Ok..I hope that you guys can help me with this one..

I currently use Aweber for my own Internet Marketing ventures and love it. However, I have a client that is a Doctor that wants to stay in touch with his clients and I'm not sure if this is the best match for him.

When his patients fill out a "new client" sheet, they write their email address on the paper. He wants to have his secretary manually enter in their email address and avoid the double opt-in since he will be receiving their signed permission to contact them via email.

Is there a way to use Aweber in this manner that I am not aware of? If not, is there another service that would work best for him? Is there a better strategy to this method that I haven't thought of?

Thanks so much! I always enjoy reading the postings on this forum..

One of the 3 majors should support CSV files... Aweber, GetResponse, or MailChimp. Not sure which one, although if he has less than 500 addresses, MailChimp is free.

Yes, you can import contacts into Aweber, up to 2000 a day.

These are Aweber's rules: "Purchased email lists, coregistration subscribers and any other people who haven't come directly to you and signed up to your list can't be emailed with AWeber."

You can try icontact, they will let you import your subscribers without asking for a second optin. But I'd make sure they are customers/subscribers who want to learn from you.

    All the best,
