Best place to sell short reports

Hello:
I know if you are selling IM related ebooks or reports you can usually list them on Jvzoo.
i am writing several short reports about things NOT related to IM or MMO. 10-15 pages each.

Going to host them on junkie for sales and but what would be the best way to market them, through forums perhaps?

There are a few topics that have gotten tons of hits in the search engines but cant find forums for them. Is there a way to post say an article about one of the topics on buzz feed or similar sites and provide a link? Maybe to blog?

Thank you

The best way to market them is by building an email list and marketing them to your subscribers.

In the long run...This will save you a lot of time and effort because you will not have to go out find new customers every time you launch a new report.

      ^^This works.

A simple report can be easily sold to a targeted market. Build a list and pitch the product. Don't be afraid to sell. And make sure you have more than just 7 emails in your autoresponder sequence.

Forums will work, social platforms such as Facebook (think about starting a FB Group around your topic), YouTube videos (With a link to your sales site for your report(s) in the video and in the description, blog posts, etc...

There are really only 3 ways to get traffic

    1. Content - you produce content and work hard to get it seen (participation on distribution platforms such as FB, Insta, YouTube, Blogs, Podcasts, etc...)

    2. Paid Ads - self-explanatory. When you are selling something like a low-cost report you should focus your paid ads on getting signup to which you can sell multiple products over time to get your revenue per subscriber to a rate where spending money on ads makes sense (ROI)

    3. 3rd Party Partner/Affiliate/JV/Syndication: Here, you go after revenue or content syndicate partners to either exchange content or earn revenue on each sale in exchange for pre-qualified traffic

Really your call...start with 1 and eventually move to all 3 over time.

You can place them to different forums. I had the same problem before. My friend told me about forums. I follow her advise and it's really helpful. You should try it also.

It depends on your topics. Building a list, as others have suggested, is ok if your topics are related but not if your topics are all over the place like health, tech, marketing, art, etc. That's way too many lists to be building.

I would suggest dividing them up into related topics and contact blogs / sites that have decent traffic for each report's niche. Contact the owners and ask about guest posting, ad space, a joint venture with the owner, etc.

You can also find people who are selling products in your niches and offer to bundle your report with their products.

The bottom line is analyze your target market first, then decide the best way to promote based on your findings.

Yeah even on JVZOO for MMO products you won't get distribution organically due to the sheer amount of products on there you'll have to work hard to gain traction there.

My guess is with a short report of that length (15 pages) your goal is to give it away as a freebie and build your list?

You could upload your PDF on places like slideshare and it's good it'll get a nice bit of traffic. Long-term though you'll want to find a scalable distribution channel like sponsored newsletters to lists of website owners in your niche.

    Good luck!

You can give it to your list if you are finding people are still opening your emails.
Personally I would add them to a document sharing site such as Scribd. It's got me good traffic over the years. Also Slideshare takes documents as well as presentations and this is another good source of traffic.
