Writing Research Papers

I realize that this isn't traditionally in the internet marketing lexicon, but I've yet to find a place where I can find such a varied and useful group of people who could recognize if the idea has merit or not.

I'm extremely well versed in writing high school and college research papers, etc. I used the skill to help buy some things when I was in high school, and I was thinking about how to turn it to my advantage.

I'm well versed in APA format, etc.

Right now I'm considering offering my services through craigslist service category in a bunch of cities where colleges are located, specifically where rich kids go to college.

I'm open to all thoughts or suggestions.

    It's illegal for students to hire someone else to do their work.

    I'm not sure if it's illegal for you to do it, but I wouldn't take my chances...

      It's not technically "illegal" though, if it's ever found out the student didn't actually write the paper, they can get expelled. It's a risk many are willing to take. The actual writer, can't get in any trouble, unless they too are a student at said university.

      Like it or not, there are companies that have this as a business model, here's one example:

      I made some good money in college writing research papers for other people. I always made them sign a waiver that stated they understood the report was for reference purposes only, and was not to be turned in as is. This got me off the hook of any liability. Again, I only did that because I went to the same university and didn't want to get expelled.

    I under the ethical issues involved, but for me I've decided this repersents an ethically clean way of earning money. I'm simply offering a service for which I'm talented at. It's up to someone themselves if they want to take the risk or not.

    I do think I will include that disclaimer idea though, thanks Jason.

    Back in the dim dark days it was something I did myself, and made good money at it. With regards to the ethics side of things I like Jason, made sure that the clients signed a waiver stating clearly that the paper written was for reference purposes only and I gave them instructions on how to cite my research paper in their own work. I do realize that there were probably some that did hand my work in unedited and it was for that reason I finally left that field of writing - after writing a dissertation for somebody I had this horrible feeling that came from thinking about all of these "qualified" people working in fields where others depended on their expertise and of course it wasn't their expertise that saw them graduate: it was mine.

    Personally I feel with your skills you could just as easily write white papers, business reports and similar material without having to address the ethics issue, and you would be making better money doing it.
