Selling Amazon Products via Twitter

I have 40,000 followers on Twitter that's politically motivated. I also have other twitter accounts that are directed to moms that are into coupons, recipes etc.

However, I'm thinking about selling Amazon products on Twitter - actually, already have started. I am not using my big accounts but using a very small account that has 2,000 followers. The products are not aimed at my followers, but I use the hashtags on these products so they can be found on Twitter.

For an example, I might try to sell a play station for Xbox. I would use the hashtags of #gamer, #videogames, #ps4, #xbox etc. I only tweet about eight per day of various products. However, I've seen other accounts tweet Amazon products 15 times PER HOUR. I'm just curious if that is the key - is to tweet a lot on all kinds of products.

I do use Hootsuite to schedule my tweets and hit peak times. But am I missing the boat by not putting enough tweets out there?

Just curious if anyone out there has any experience with Amazon and Twitter and what your results are.

Yes and no. If you tweet more using hashtags, yes you will get seen more. But for long term traffic, the key is to tweet using hashtags that get a lot of exposure, but is not tweeted a lot.

For example: I have a hash tag that I use in the make money niche that only gets tweeted out by other twitter users about 4 times per hour. However, this hash tag is seen by 135,333 per hour.

The reason this is important is because if only 4 people are tweeting this hash tag every hour, then your tweet will stay at the top of the twitter search engine for that hashtag a lot longer.

But since over 135,000 people see this hashtag every hour, their will be more people clicking the hashtag which takes them to the twitter page that shows all the tweets using hashtags.

You kind find these low tweeted high exposure hash tags for any keyword for free by using a free service called https://ritetag.com/

I have been using this method for only a short time and I already have generated 202 clicks to my squeeze page and 95 of those people opted in to my email list.

Wow! This blew me away! I will try ritetag. I really wanted to rely on my hashtags to get the word out instead of tweeting advertisements to my followers. The 40,000 followers I have on my political account, I rather not tweet anything but my article of the week (or day) and things related to politics. So thanks again for that piece of information.

Thank you for this tip! I played around with it for a little and realized I was using some pretty crappy hashtags. I was able to find much better ones. We'll see if I get better results.
