One of IM told me that, he can bring a site to top # 10 within 48 hours.
Actually, that is very less competitive site, As well as, the site is from blogger.com - a blog. Is it possible? Anyone had such experience?

    Jimerson,

Yes! It can be done depending on the market and phrase. The real question is, "Will you stay there?" If they say, "yes" then have them prove it by showing past results.

The only way you can find out is to let him try.

This post have you on top of google page one for the key word phrase, "One of IM told me that" in a half hour or so. But who is going to search that.

I've had a couple of sites go straight to top 10 Google listings in a couple of days in the last year; one went in at number 3. However, both stayed there for just a couple of weeks and then dropped back significantly, before slowly improving again.

It was almost as if Google was "giving points" just for being brand new.

So be careful if you are paying for results.

A web 2.0 (blog) site hitting top 10 for a not really competitive term is not uncommon.
