How to bring visitors on your website?

Hi all,

I am looking for your expert opinion related to online marketing.

I launched a new web site a 3 weeks ago WPPaid - WordPress Blog, Themes, Plugins, Coupons & Tutorials for WordPress. It is all about WordPress hosting, themes, plugins, tutorials and guides.

I wrote about 20+ good articles so far but traffic is very less. Only 2-10 visitors are coming daily. I am looking for ways to promote the website.

I am posting my articles on social media pages like FB, Google Plus, Twitter, Linkedin, and Pinterest.

I would really appreciate your suggestions on how to efficiently do marketing. What are the best ways you used for your website promotion?

Thank you in advance!

Hey thank you for suggestion. But buying ads need some good investment and I don't have that much now

Also, I prefer to bring organic traffic instead of paid one. Visitors who come via organic search are mostly those who are actually looking for something.

I tried ads for few of my other websites but then gave up.

70-80% of the YouTube Ad in inventory is generally unsold so you can get some real cheap traffic and views from there.

For organic traffic, I recommend a kick-ass Facebook Page with great content that's valuable and engaging.

I have posted some of this points in a different thread but here are a few quick thoughts about maximizing the Facebook Page potential, based on my experience:

        1. Don't post only selling materials. People love funny materials and because you will want to go beyond your current page fans, you'll need to attract them on your page with: good content.

A few things that come to mind now: memes, funny WP related videos.

        2. Find who your perfect audience is and use ads to target them. Male, females, age groups, even schooling and earnings, as well as interests and liked Pages.

        3. Study what others are doing. It's so easy to do this on Facebook and find other Pages and Groups that are related to your Page and you can literally "steal" ideas and apply them to your own business.

        4. You can hold contests and giveaways on your Page to help it grow (and grow your list). You can offer a free coupon for people who like, comment and share your page/posts but you can also have them sign-up to your list for a chance to win a free something.

        5. Build a list. Always. That's one of the most important aspects of the online business. The list is the one you usually want to monetize, unlike your Facebook Page. Meaning that it's better to not have promotional materials and links to your sales/squeeze pages inside your posts. Facebook considers this content as low value and it will show it to a a very limited crowd.

In other words, you want to have great, engaging content on you Page, have contests that help you build your list and monetize it through an email sequence.

        6. Use Facebook Tabs to drive traffic to your website. You can even build a sales page for your main offer that you host directly on a Facebook tab INSIDE Facebook.

The idea here is that those people who have already liked or interacted with your page in some way may very well be "warm enough" for you to market to directly.

You can also install a second tab where you giveaway a "Free Gift" of some sort, which you re-direct this tab directly to a squeeze page on your website.

With this tab you can both drive free traffic and paid traffic directly to your squeeze page, and immediately after entering their name and email address (on the thank you page) you can presented with your main offer.

Here's how to create custom tabs:

          Great reply Katrim!

Posting on social media can be a hard thing to do if you don't already have a good following, but if you follow the advice about Fan Pages that Katrim has suggested you will see some good and very targeted traffic start to trickle in and than increase a ton when you start to get some of your content circulating when other people start sharing.

          Follow this marketeer's advice!

There is nothing difficult to what he is saying, but it takes persistence and additional investment in time, and in terms of Facebooks ad's, additional $$ to invest. But it works.

Now listen, I am a full-time virtual assistant, and I have been so for more than 2 years already. My take to this before reading the reply of Alexandra here is that:

If we are looking for ways to promote the website. then the best way to go are:

          1. Ads
          2. Social Media
          3. Youtube - youtube in a sense that you contact an owner of a channel, specific to your niche, make a deal to feature your website (direct to your post or landing page or home page) and then just pay them. I dont really recommend creating your own channel and uploading videos then sending them to your money site (main site). that requires a lot of work and video prodcution all that sort of stuffs.

To me, this is my top ways ... and i have been using this approach for quite some time now and it works, at least for me, it works.

Now, what Alexandra pointed out here is the breakdown or thorough guidelines per se. I am sure that all of us here are quite aware of what Alexandra put up here but it's just that we are too damn lazy to really narrow it down. Of COURSE you know it .. and let's admit that.

Again, follow what Alexandra said here but don't rely too much one his/her answer, consider what others here said, and figure everything out.

This has been a great thread and I bid you good luck to your endeavors metalogics.

You should consider buying traffic since that's the fastest way to grow your business. But let me be honest with you, quality traffic is gonna cost you money and not just a few bucks.

Sometimes I pay as much as $3.5 on a single click. The secret is to make your offer or product funnel so optimized with high ticket products such that you won't have to worry about how much traffic is gonna cost you since you're sure of a good ROI.

If you're willing to pay more for traffic more than your competition, you will win. But first, you need a great sales funnel in place. Without a great high converting product funnel, you will be wasting your money buying traffic.

If you don't have this in place, not even the so hyped 1 cent traffic can save you

So I advice you work on improving your funnel starting from your articles so you can worry less about how much quality traffic will cost you.

        Hope this helps.

        Ken

You need to repurpose those same articles that you have post on the social media site.

You can convert those articles into...

    Power Point Presentations
    PDF
    Videos
    Infographics
    Podcast
    etc...

After creating these different formats for the same content, you gain then submit them to different sites to share this content.

    Examples...
    Video sites like youtube
    Instructions sites like instructables
    Pdf sharing sites like scrbd
    ect...

Doing this is 100% free and it will bring you some extra traffic as well as increase your search engine rankings.

I suggest you start using Email Media as your first source of traffic.

The most common way of this type is Solo ads. There is a wrong way and right way of using this. If you do not have enough time to research more, you can simply find 4 or 5 vendors in your niche and contact them, tell them what you are promoting and what you expect from the traffic you need, ask if they can provide what you want. Contacting them directly is good as you can negotiate the price, delivery time of the clicks rather than just going to their sales page and ordering.

Buy from about 3 vendors the same amount of clicks to 3 different landing pages so you split test.

Then whatever is converting is one you run with and scale like crazy.

Another great source of traffic is Facebook ads.

I hope you get value from this

    Thanks

I just saw that you said you cant afford to pay for traffic, so it means it is going to take longer for you to drive enough traffic. However, it is going to happen, just be consistent with Forum Marketing/Commenting , I use this and it is working for me, I also use video marketing and blogging but make sure that each time you post a video, a blog post or a article, syndicate it.

    That's it.

The primary traffic vehicle should be paid advertising. I'm surprised you haven't tried Adwords or Bing Ads yet. It's good to continue free marketing that you've been doing for your blog, but you need something to go viral if you want to make a "dent" with free marketing. Social media should be involved too. Try to seek out JV partners too. And consider advertising on non-competitive websites in your niche.

Here's my advice. Take it or leave it.

    Try writing something new.

I read your articles and they are the same re-hashed articles that thousands of other wordpress bloggers have written.

Sure you can try contacting other bloggers and create guest posts, but your content is something that has been already covered by other professionals.

Get a unique angle. Target a specific audience and create content just for them.

3 weeks? You have great results right there mate.

Keep writing more awesome content, share on social media and be part of huge groups related to your niche.

Try viral networks like Pinterest or Tumblr, keep working and being active because things are not going to happen in just a month or two.

Even if you are doing awesome SEO, your site isn't an authority yet, aim for small keywords with less than 1.000 searches per month, then you can scale it when you are getting better results.

If you go to facebook and look up solo ad testimonials then you will find people who will promote your site to their email list which is paid advertising. This is a quick way to get noticed! Also try to guest blogging with like minded bloggers to get yourself noticed which is free advertising.

Just do hard work and don't expect 1000 visitors now because its too early to get these, you have to do lots of hard work. You should improve your alexa rank and increase high quality backlinks for your blogs this will give you organic traffic from search engines like google. Just keep sharing your posts in social media sites and yeah use forums to increase your relationship with more experts and yeah you can also use some discussion sites like quora etc.

Organic traffic is known to be one of the best ways to grab profitable visitors.

By far the most significant first step any site can do is create new and original content. You say you only posted 20 articles 3 weeks ago you need to give it more time for the search engines to index your articles just keep writing more quality articles and you will start to see an increase in visitors.

There are so many ways to get website traffic it does also come down to how fast you want that traffic how much you are willing to spend to get it or are you just looking for the free traffic methods?

You don’t have to know a lot about online marketing to generate traffic or sales. Simple things like adjusting the keywords within your content or tweaking the titles of your blog posts or doing off page and on page Seo can also increase your traffic.

You just need to focus on one or two ways you don't need to know 101 ways.

    Hope this helps

Google engineers state they sandbox new websites, and only send a small portion of traffic to see how your website will do. So please do not get discouraged. Trust me I see this with my own websites. Give it more time, remember marketing is a marathon not a sprint.

For free traffic use forums, but it takes little time to see visitors. If you have enough patient zou will see result. For paid traffic use Facebook ad. It's very good, because you can reach highly targeted visitors. And use solo ads to get visitors. Here in Warrior forum you can find good solo ad sellers.
