When you start out as a beginner in affiliate marketing, where do you get your products from and how do you know which product to choose?

Choose something that your "passionate" about. It can be anything providing that it's something that will add to the value of peoples' lives in some way . As Wallace D. Wattles ("The Science Of Getting Rich") shares: "Will advance everyone who comes into contact with you."

It's all about providing value to people and you will be compensated in proportion to the value that you provide.

I'll share a bit of my personal experience with this.

I started by promoting products from ClickBank.

As for choosing the products, I first identified a niche that has these 2 qualities:

    - Has a hungry audience of proven buyers.

    - Is a niche I could see myself having a personal interest in (even if there was no money involved).

Honestly, the second quality is optional as you don't need to be passionate about a niche to make money from it...

But it helps a lot, especially if this is your first business.

It's usually easier to work on something you have a genuine interest in, as it makes the work that much more enjoyable.

Also, only start with ONE niche - this is all you need to build a profitable business anyway.

After you pick a niche, you need to find the top products in that category.

What you should do is look for the popular products and check out the sales pages, the affiliate sign-up and tools pages, and maybe even invest in the products yourself (see if you can get a review copy first).

Mind you, there are a few products that are overlooked by most marketers but are a good choice for promotion.

Take note of things like commission structure, refund rate, and how well the sales page is put together.

Honestly, it boils down to having a bit of common sense, doing your research, and figuring out which product you think is best for your target audience - this is why I so strongly advise choosing one niche, you need to spend a lot of time to actually understand the needs of the market.

    Regards,
    Daniel

P.S. This should go without saying but I'll mention it anyway - never promote low quality products, that's no way to build a business for the long-term (even if it's someone else's product you're promoting).

Daniel has given you some great advice! I totally agree, especially when it comes to making sure only to promote high quality products.

And yes, it's a good idea to take a close look at the product before you promote it. This has saved me once from huge embarrassment because I once almost promoted something with an excellent sales page that turned out to be a horribly bad product. Yikes!

Also, for best results, you should work on building a list in your niche so you can continue to promote products to your prospects.

How? Create a presell report or similar product and give it away to any interested party in your niche who is willing to give you their email address for it. Then redirect them to the sales page! And send them a welcome email with the link to the presell report.

Then provide them with a series of tips and gently promote the targeted product. Etc.

    Good luck!

I would also add to watch out for traffic leaks on the sales page.

If you can, try to pick a niche you can dive into and stay in the pool for an extended time.

That way all your initial efforts will continue to be leverage for you instead of starting all over again in a new niche.

Take the comments above by Dan very seriously they are spot on correct.

It depends on your passion, your testing and the results. A lot of testing is required before if you can tell what works FOR YOU. Many products that have worked for others MAY NOT work for you. Test , test and scales up....

These are some common tricks to choose the best product for affiliate marketing

    Find Evergreen Products

A common tactic for affiliate marketers is to make an affiliate product selection first, and then research the niche.

While selling a product in a niche you care about is great, often affiliate marketers do not have any personal affection for the market they are selling in.

Check the Affiliate Tracking Functions Correctly

Making money online with affiliate marketing is all about understanding your numbers. In this case when choosing a product in your market as a beginner you want to find something that has already proven to convert. Something with E. P. C's or Earnings Per Click. It's a metric used to indicate the average earnings generated as a result of 100 clicks on an affiliate marketing link or ad. This will tell you the product is proven to make sales.

A lot of affiliate networks show the E. P. C's when doing your research. In clickbank you can choose gravity which is how many affiliates are making sales. A lot of these guys got emails list so it can be a little off balance from cold traffic. I like to use popularity in clickbank when sorting through the offers.

When i do affiliate marketing it's typically after i've sold all of my main products to a customer. Of course i want to sell more to each customer, so i prefer affiliate programs that offer me recurring commissions - for as long as the customer stays within the membership. Examples are: webhosting, autoresponders, newsletters/membership sites, porn, etc.

My advice would be to do a lot of research about the niche and the product.

Search for affiliate networks that have programs related to that niche and look for the highest converting programs to increase your chances of making sales.

Do a competitor analysis to find how you can be better and different. Good luck!

    1) If it's in the niche you're currently in (where you'll build a list / following)
    2) If it sells well
    3) If it delivers

    Aside from that...

You can find offers to promote as an affiliate on Clickbank, JVZoo, and WarriorPlus.

This has always been my advice to people who ask what is the best niche in affiliate marketing. I suggest that you choose a niche you're very familiar and comfortable with. Of course a competent one.

Before you choose a product to promote, you need to do some market research to determine what people are looking for. Once you've done that and you identify a product, buy it yourself. Is it any good. If not, don't promote it.

If it's a good product, make a short review video and post it on youtube. Remember, Youtube is a massive search engine. Youtube is also owned by Google so you also get an entry In Google's organic searches. Check out review videos on Youtube yourself. You will see that they are an amazing way to promote products at zero cost.
