Hi,

Totally new to affiliate marketing and looking some advice

Can anyone give me some advice on starting out? I am considering joining Mark Lings Affilorama course or affilojetpack so has anyone used this and is it a good place to start? Also is it very hard to make money this way? I am not looking to "get rich quick" and will put in the effort and have $1-2000 to help me start off so would appreciate some guidance

Thanks

Patrick

Understand that there is never a proposition as "Something for nothing." You must provide people (your visitors, prospects, customers, etc.) with something that is worth more in use value than what you charge them monetarily. (See "Think And Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill for more information.)

The more value you provide the more money you will make.

Get AffiloJetpack as you get AffiloBlueprint free with it as a bonus, at least last time I checked.

I've personally gotten a lot of value from Mark Ling but I started with AffiloBlueprint (which shows you what to do, every step of the way), while AffiloJetpack gives you a lot of ready-made content to build you a profitable affiliate marketing business - it's essentially a "done-for-you" package.

"Also is it very hard to make money this way?" - It requires hard work, like any other business.

But it requires less moving parts than some other businesses, like selling your own product (where you have to deal with customer fulfillment, getting a sales page set up, creating a good upsell funnel, etc.).

In my opinion, affiliate marketing is one of the easiest to understand business models out there.

Note that I said it's easy to understand, there's still hard work involved.

I'll leave you with some more advice:

You have a good starting budget.
Do you have an idea of how you want to drive traffic? Once we know this we can make a recommendation based on that..

    Hello,
Save your money, build custom blog, on WP study how to use WP on YouTube, then learn how to do affiliate marketing, lots to learn, before it works, not as easy as people say it is.

I agree with you that you should not choose any short cut method. You have to be patient and focused to get success in affiliate marketing. First of all you have to do market research then do product research. Try to find out a product which has demand in the market and also offering good commission. The most important part is to get traffic. You can use Facebook Ads to get traffic. If you can use Facebook effectively, you will be able to get enough traffic. Also Solo Ads is a good option for driving targeted traffic.

A good place to start would be to read threads/posts on this forum (use the search function) - by Sojourn (forum name).

Sojourn is Erica Stone and she offers a LOT of great free advice on affiliate marketing plus some excellent low cost tutorials.

Sid Hale is another member here with some great posts about affiliate marketing.

I'm sure I've left some folks off but if you start by reading posts and threads on this forum by those members - you'll get an education quickly.

Affiliate marketing is no different from selling anything else online. If you're going to do affiliate marketing, make sure you pick a program that allows you to make money recurringly each month. Getting a 1-time commission on a relatively low priced item won't bring your dream of early retirement into reach. Consider affiliate programs like webhosting, membership sites, dating sites, porn, newsletters, autoresponders, etc.

As Kay mentioned the best resource available is search function and Google.

If you need more structure then you can still go with totally free training at Affilorama.

Just try not to be still looking for information on the subject months from now without applying what you learn soon as possible

Make a sale. Its the best motivation for new affiliate.
