Setting Up Online Personal Training Business (fitness) Please Help Me Out

Hi,

About 3 months ago I started a website to provide online personal training.

Last few weeks I'm receiving more traffic (primarily through social media) but I'm wondering if you guys have some tips.

My website is (link deleted, SEO purposus)

I know this is a very broad question but any input would be very appreciated.

What do you think is the most effective way to get traffic in my situation?

Should I focus primarily on list building first and advertise my online personal training afterward or should I directly advertise my online personal training?

Thank you very much in advance
Stefan

The best tip I give my clients is to find the top 3-10 people in your space and reverse engineer their process. Since you're not paying for traffic at the moment sending people to that blog initially is okay. I believe you can tighten up on your call to action to join your e-mail list.

"Our best stuff goes directly to our mailing list. For example my book "Muscleforreal 101 Best Tips". Grab your FREE copy now and keep updated!"

I think this can be improved. You should be getting people to opt-in for something specific. If you want people to opt-in for the 101 best tips, start with that. You may want to include an image of the e-book. Also, give a strong benefit from what they'll get out of it.

Another that will increase your conversions, is to get rid of the name field. I know you may want to personalize your e-mails but the majority people in most markets know that you aren't sending them a personal e-mail anymore. So you can lose that field all together.

These are just some minor tips, I could give you more specifics if I knew more about you and your end goal.

      Thank you very much, Robert.

Great tips. I've just deleted the first name from the email opt-in box. I'm thinking about another call to action.

Eventually, my goal is to have around 50-60 online training clients and besides that sell e-books (I've already completed one, I'm creating the landing page right now).

My goal is also to become one of the leading experts in the fitness industry, which I strongly believe is possible.

I'm a personal trainer from the Netherlands but I want to make the switch from personal trainer in "real life" to personal trainer online because my biggest passion is traveling the world (besides fitness )

Thank you very much in advance Rober, appreciate your help

No problem boss. I'm here to help. You should subscribe to Newsmax or some of these conservative republican websites. You'll be able to spy on some of the top fitness marketers in the world and their ads. I'd recommend going to clickbank and purchase the top fitness product and take notes on their entire funnel.

Actually screen record the process, that way you can have it as a reference. Figure out what they're offering in their core products, in their upsells, how they are positioning everything. You'll uncover some additional sticking points and angels that you may have never thought about.

This tip, btw, I've found to work with almost everything. Succes leaves clues.

You can do both at the same time, although ideally, building a list would be better because unless you're an established brand, your visitors don't know anything about you. It takes time to warm people up to the idea of buying your service or products.

You're already getting traffic from social media so that's a start. Since you're in the fitness niche, you have a lot to work with. YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, Tumblr, StumbleUpon, etc. are all excellent places to market your knowledge in your niche.

      Thanks you,

You're right, it is better if I focus on building my email list first.

The online personal training niche is quite competitive. If I were you, I would focus on giving first then after gaining their trust I would try to sell. So yeah, it might be a good idea to build a list and nurture your list with awesome content before selling anything. Make sure that your visitors don't get disappointed with your product, because it takes them a second to unsubscribe from your list never to be seen again. Try to get feedbacks about your product so you can improve.

For getting more traffic, you must figure out where your target audience is hanging out, and promote your site over there. For example, if you are targeting women who want to build muscles and get fit, you might have a better chance on Pinterest, because their visitors are largely women. You could do so by posting pictures of a fit woman and a motivational quote.

    Lastly, Test, Tweak and Optimize

      Thank you very much Zuberr,

You're right, the online personal training (and fitness in general) is quite competitive but I do believe I have more to offer than the big majority of trainers so I'm gone go for it

Never thought about Pinterest before, gone give it a try.

      Thanks for you advice!
