The Tony Robbins Video

I guess that like me many of you have been blitzed about this self-belief video. Now Mindset stuff is a big turn off for me and probably the reason why I have made sweet FA over the past 2 years. However I watched this and he could have been referring to me personally as he is dead right.

Whatever project I try I always come across a barrier usually when it starts to involve a third person - I am not a people person - and I consequently can't find a way around it and give up. But that's me and I know I have to do something about it.

Anyway what surprised me was the fact that this was all instigated by messrs. Kern and Reece who were very concerned that some people or maybe lots of people who bought their products did not take the required action or simply gave up. Just makes you wonder why these multi-millionaires should even care if people bought and did diddly squat with their products.

At face value it came across as pretty genuine and even quite impressive, kinda helps restore your faith that even the big guns do actually care about their customers.

Or was this another clever marketing ploy - oh stop it.

Well I think most people who create products are trying to help solve their clients problem by creating the product. We still must remember that even they were once beginners as well, and got to where they are today because of many clients.

      Do they care, YES?

Do they want people to succeed through their (or others teachings) YES!

The real~deal question is Do YOU want to succeed?

Unfortunately 97% of people will buy a product, a system etc. and NOT follow through, it's human nature.

The real question you should be asking is will you or won't you follow through on the method or proven system?

I've watched video's and listened to mp3's and read a lot from Tony, John and Frank. All three got to where they are by being genuine and dedicating their time, money and energy into creating products to help people.

Thats why they know they can say like in the video, if people would just take the time and action needed to actually use the product, the will succeed.

I thought about this when I first saw the video. Why are they doing it? Yes, it could be a marketing ploy. It could also be that Kern and Reese are concerned about the future of internet marketing.

Some years ago I purchased lots of products. But I never really put them into use. One day it struck me: - Hey, I'm buying all these products that just sits on my hard drive, doing nothing. I need to stop buying all those products! And so I did.

Maybe Kern and Reese are afraid that too many people will do what I did?

People that takes action and succeeds, are the fuel of the make money niche. Kern, Reese or any product creator needs a continious flow of success stories to be able to say: - This works. Look at all the testimonials. It works for them. It will work for you too when you buy our products...

A decrease in the number of success stories (people that takes action) could mean less money to be made.

So if you are a product creator, make sure that your product works for as many people as possible. Try hard to make your customers practice what you teach. Create success stories. It will do your wallet good

I definitely agree with this. If I were a creator of a certain product I would also do the same. I will make sure that the product is really working and to be honest I would also see to it that it serves its purpose and able to help my clients. In a way it will give me the fulfillment and the sense of success with my creation.

  • it's nonsense, a straw man.

many people DO try the products that they buy and follow steps well. People need to make better products and quit blaming the buyer!

You are absolutely right. Many people don't realize that by the time the product hits your hard drive, the method is probably dead. Many months ago I bought a certain product from a well known guru dealing with Adsense.

I got so excited about it and implemented it step by step.

      What happened?

Adsense duly banned me from it's program and my life hasn't been the same since.

It would be untrue to suggest that some of these guys' program don't work. But most is rehashed information, and relies on an endless supply of witless buyers to line their pocket.

Personally, if I bought and implemented Mass Control 2 and nothing happened, I wouldn't touch 3 with 200 ft pole.

      My 2 cents

I can see your frustrations but when I bought Mass Control I made the money back for the entire course just using the free bonus within a few days...

Now, a lot of people buy courses without thinking if they are ready for them yet or if their business is ready for the strategies yet...

My business was ready for Mass Control and it works beautifully. There are a lot of other success stories as well... Heck, even if you don't have a list you can still go out and license the techniques of Mass Control to an offline business, setup their campaigns and get a percentage.

Talk about a win - win!

Trouble is a lot of people won't approach anyone because they are afraid of rejection but I'll bet if a person got over that fear and got a few clients, made total 'Bank' that fear would immediately be gone.

The reason people have 'Fear' about this is because they don't believe in it... at least that's my opinion

Well, it's quite the opposite. If people took action, they wouldn't need any of these products. They keep buying product after product exactly because it makes them feel as if they're taking action, when in reality they aren't.

It's not a straw-man, many people I know do not follow the steps (in anything, not just IM). That or I hang out with the wrong people.

Tony Robbins instruction completely overhauled my life. Using his tools, I have and still am improving EVERY aspect of my life.He has the gift of helping people "believe" in what is possible and helping them to make it happen
What these guys are doing is tapping into Tonys expertise, to help their own clients get the results promised.

    succeed...

from the marketing perspective, I can sense that
it is a new product they are creating -
self-improvement niche fuses with internet marketing product...

just be patient...you will see it coming soon...

now is the pre-launch period....bringing in alot

Now even Eben has interviewed Robbins.

This was just the natural place for these guys to end up - some of us got there years ago. Frank interviewing Tony won't have been the first time they spoke about this or that Frank thought about how to move things this way. He's been using NLP language for ages in his products and presentations - I was surprised it took this long to start actually talking about things without it being labeled internet marketing.

You can go pick up a 20 year old NLP book from Richard Bandler and learn all this stuff for yourself.

Whether they care about you getting results or not is something only they know. There are good reasons for several marketing perspectives.

1 - If you don't succeed but think they're helping, they can keep creating products for you to buy.

2 - If you do succeed then you can be a JV partner and provide testimonials.

We'd like to hope they're so successful that they're being good people and wanting to help others succeed.

Perhaps there's a mix of all 3 in there.

But as someone already said - these things are irrelevant compared to what YOU think and what YOU will do about it.

This stuff is great, but none of it makes any difference without your action.

I've met lots of people who've bought all of Tonys products and are still happy or success (in their terms) many years later. The same goes for marketing products. There are lots of people with Frank and Johns products still not making money.

It's not their job to make you successful and the reality is - they can't take your actions for you.

If all this stuff is getting you excited -that's fantastic, just make sure you start taking action before it wears off, because in the end - only you can change your life.

The subject of accountibility has come up many times and you are the only person who know what success means to you and what you need to do to get there.

How many people get dietary information handed to them on a plate from celebrities and completely understand what to do - but don't actually take the actions they know they need to?

People are funny creatures and personal accountability is the thing that will make the difference, regardless of which guru says what to you.

HMmmmmmmmmmm! A multi-million dollar launch. I too would be be "very sincere" in wanting people to buy/errr -- succeed. Does anyone think that anyone in the video will not be heavily rewarded for their participation?

Wasn't there a thread a while back about Kern teaching Robbins about launching a product? Now it is a reality. Robbins isn't even a warrior and his launch is getting a lot of publicity here.

OK, I am a fan of Tony Robbins, however doesn't this type of thread in the MIND WARRIORS section?

"Action" is the missing piece of all these
puzzles and yet most people are in self-denial,
always looking for a magic pill which requires
no work (action) to be done and success
    to be immediate....

Everything about a successful online business
is about taking ownership and MASSIVE actions...

some took a step or two and expected pots
of gold to be delivered to their doorstep the
    next instance...

it is not easy to convince people
that we are the greatest obstacle to
    reach our success....

    My 2 cents,

I personally think there is lots of validity in the videos,
I think that all the pre-launches and sales letters make us
want to believe in their product or method....
But some where somehow, we dont believe it anymore...
Being by our friends family or ourselves...
If we want to make things work we have to have a rock solid belief
and faith that it will all work....
I really respect Tony Robbins, so you can say I believe him.
Moreover you must believe in yourself!

Most of the big guys want you to be successful. The ones I have met and talked to are pretty cool down to earth people. Do I always like some of the tactics and techniques they use? Nope. Do I stay on their mailing lists if I don't agree with their tactics. Nope.

What do you think they make more money on? The first product they sell you or the upsells when you are profitably using their products? In every business I know that succeeds long term, it has to provide value to its client base. If you get more out of it (value) than you put into it (cost) you continue to do business. Return customers are a huge part of any companies growth. Think of the $25,000 coaching programs some of these guys runs. Do you think you would guy into that if their $2000 product didn't work? But if it did and you made 10, 20 or 50 times your investment, would you sign up? Oh yea. You would be calling them up asking when can I join. When are you going to offer one??

    Success breeds success.

Sure for some people they don't' quite grasp it or are ready.

I don't think that quite hits it.

People complain because they refuse to take responsibility for being unsuccessful.

      What's easier to say?
"That so and so's stuff sucks"
      or
"I never read or watch the whole course"
"I read it but never took action"
"I let my friends tell me it won't work and sold out on my dreams"

"I didn't understand and never asked for help"

This discussion has brought up a great question: What is it that keeps some people motivated and taking action long after the "Rah Rah" effect has worn off? Those are the people who actually achieve success, sometimes known as "Self Starters", but starting is actually much easier than follow-through.

How do we keep the follow through? I think there are a couple of answers to this question:

1.) Mentors, who have already achieved success keep dogging you, pushing you - and that motivates you after the initial effect wears off. These mentors can be live individuals, or even successful people who are now long dead, but whose achievements and quotable sayings speak to you in those times of darkness when you want to quit.

2.) Success. Nothing motivates like a little success. Even if you just earned $2.00 in a click-bank sale, I tell you what, when it is your first $2.00 it feels like a million.

So, if you go into a venture with the specific knowledge that you need both of these things to happen at some fairly consistent schedule, I think you can "keep the fires burning" so-to-speak.
