Sign up as a freelancer and find the works that you have skills with. See what you can do. For each job you complete, you get the specified amount of money. You place bids on jobs and the job poster will choose one to complete the work. The more confidence you have, the higher chance of being selected by job posters. Start by taking some exams to prove your basic skills and improve your confidence.

I would say upwork, I started using it when it was called odesk. And I used to get lots of customers. But since I heard that they increased their charges, I don't know if it's worth to use it any more.. Also I really like peopleperhour it was my second favourite one.

I'm currently on Upwork and have found some really good, high-paying clients there. That said, their fees are a ridiculous 10%. I'm trying to slowly coax some of my long-term clients away from Upwork to working with them directly and cutting out the middleman.

The key is to be picky and only take on clients who will pay what you believe your services are worth. For a fee as high as 10%, I'm extremely picky.

The best freelancing websites are where you are going to compete with a lot of competition and it will be much harder for you to get a job. Whereas, on the lesser known sites, you'll have less competion.

You can also freelance on Fiverr.

Hold back your horses just yet...In order to make huge money by doing freelance jobs you need to make yourself well known as a reliable, quality worker in whatever field you intend to offer your services. So, work hard, let your work be really good, prove you are a real deal, only then can you expect to make some serious money!

Those sites are generally a waste of time since you will be competing with cheap overseas labor who can charge pennies. The best way to make money from freelancing is to go local, if you live in a moderately sized city. You will build a local client base who will refer you to other businesses in the area. Do good work, and it's exponential.

    I have 2 businesses.

    1. An online business where I sell websites/landers
    2. A local business where I develop websites for small businesses in the area. I can charge a bit more because these are companies with whom I can develop a personal, working relationship with.

#2 makes far, far more money.

  • I would recommend Upwork, Guru.com, Fiverr, Mturk, freelancer.com and peopleperhour.com. You have to compete with existing experienced freelancer and prove yourself to get a job.

If you want to make huge money by working as a freelancer online then the first thing you need to do is make accounts on a lot of free lancing websites:
    - fiverr
    - upwork
    - freelancer
    - envato
Here you can bid on the work related to your expertise and people putting that work there are going to select from all the bidders. the more tasks you complete the more reliable you will become and with time people are going to confide in you more. from there you can skip the middleman that is the websites and work with some people directly in the long run.

Making "huge" money as a freelancer is not easy. But huge is relative, so best of luck!

You can run an ad here in the Warriors for Hire section and then link to it in your signature.

I highly recommend Fiverr as well. It has generated a good stream of income for me in the past 3 years. Not huge money but decent enough to still be there.

    Join the crowd...

I recommend Upwork and Freelancer, possibly even Fiverr depending on your niche.

-Create an ATTRACTIVE profile, you may want to check out expert profiles in your niche
    -Upload any publications
    -Bid on projects!

Completing projects for a lower rate than the average, is a great way to build up feedback. Which will be essential in landing those HUGE MONEY clients that you want.

Gradually increase your rates as you see fit.

    All the best.

everyone has already contributed the top freelance sites that I know of..

    now, what do you do?

do you create accounts on all of these sites?

or do you create one account with one site and build up your street cred on that site?

    best of luck,
