A friend of mine has been trying to change her default url from https://sitename.com
. She hosts and bought the domain at Godaddy. In an effort to help her out and figure out what might be going on, I switched the Url on a site of mine from http://www.sitename
though I don't have an ssl certificate on my site) just to see if it would switch. I'm not technical at all and realized I goofed. When I tried to log back into wp-admin to fix it, I got this error:
Your connection is not private
Attackers might be trying to steal your information from www.sitename.com
(for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards). NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID
Any idea how I can restore my site back to what it was? It's not a site that generates revenue, so that's not a problem, but it is a site that I plan to work on soon since it's aged a few years. Thanks.
