Are there any other traffic generating methods?

1) Social Media - Twitter, facebook, Myspace, etc
2) Offline ads (Yea I know how crazy would that be) newspaper, classifieds, radio, tv depending on how much money you have
3) Guest blogging at targeted niche blogs that are adjacent to your market
4) PPC
5) Digg, propeller, other popularity contests
6) Tell a friend scripts to get your guests to send more traffic. Ask for the referral

Thank you! I use social networking sites, and almost everything else you have mentioned too (except offline ads), but nothing seems to be enough because I have too much competition in my main fields. I believe that in fact everything depends on what you are trying to sell online.

If I was selling something about computers for ex. with all the traffic I already have, I would be happy, but I need around 10.000 visitors per day in order to beat my competitors. My main fields are: mental health and dream interpretation.

Besides the fact that there is more than too much competition in these fields, and from many very strong companies that are online for years, there is no cooperation between competitors in these fields, because each one has his or her own method. If my field was internet marketing for ex., I would easily find JV partners, while now I only have many competitors that deny cooperating.

-Purchasing ads on relevant sites
-Find someone with an email list that caters to your niche and JV or pay for a mention
-Purchase Blog reviews
-Give something away for free (special report, script etc.) and have it link back to your site
- Social bookmarking
- Run a contest and submit it to contest site listing directories
- create a coupon code for your products and submit them to coupon code sites

The video marketing sounds like a great idea.

Words of mouth is the best from of traffic
generating method.

I don't think you would be happy if you was selling something about computers. The competition is fierce there also. The gaming industry consists of many millions of competitors for just about everything.

Getting top SERPs in Google is your best bet I believe.
All suggestions above are good ones.

You may also want to get your site to validate. Google is putting a lot of emphasis on good coding techniques.

You could also use some SEO on your site with proper use of h tags, bolding, inner linking, and so on.
There is also a lot of text on your home page which makes it hard to stay focused. You could easily create several pages from this.
Often a homepage is like the cover of a magazine giving tidbits of information inviting people in for more.

I see you have a placement on page 2 on Google for Dream Interpretation.
I think with a little bit of optimization you could easily move to the upper ranks on page 1.
This alone could make the difference of many thousands of hits to your site.
As mentioned, giving away things always attracts attention.
By giving away interpretations you could build an email list to market to.
The interpretation that you give away free could be a basic one with a person getting a more detailed review for a fee.

Perhaps offer Oprah a free interpretation. Maybe she'll mention your site on her show

Mainstream media. If you can get a mention or link from an established high-traffic, high-PR site, it's a big spike and a steady stream of gravy thereafter.

You could write an article for a magazine or contact reporters with a press release.

Do a google search for products that teach you how to get traffic
using these sites.

Look for Dofollow pages, not just sites. The internal pages with pagerank are the golden backlinks.

Free classified sites online such as backpage, usfreeads, and even craigslist if you don't spam them and are creative with your ad.

Create a blog on your site so google crawls it more often and putting commentluv and keywordluv on it so people are rewarded with commenting with quality comments.

I'm going to be honest, you're site needs some work. There is soo much content it's paralyizing. You need to break it up into managable chunks.

I think video marketing is one way to go, definitely. Which traffic techniques have you done? It's hard to give you advice on anything, not knowing what exactly you tried and to what success. I know lots of people say "yea, I tried that" and then when we got down to it and dissected it, they half-a$$ed it, so it was doomed from the beginning as a traffic driver.

As for JV'ing with others within your niche - why don't you work on developing a product together with a few of them and that would be one way to get "in". It's all about building a relationship. Try and do some interviews with all of them and that could be another way to "get in". If you interview them all, they'll all want to promote the product, cuz who doesn't want to tell people about something they're doing (playing on there ego).
