$1.47 for 1 website click!

Tried Facebook advertising yesterday, I couldn't believe that for
1 click to my website they charged me $1.47, no thank you!

I will just test other forms of promotion because fb is charging
way to much to advertise with them.

it will depend on the keyword, terms you are setting for your ad. even on google some keywords can be really expensive.

I searched on Google about that site, but I couldn't find any feedback anywhere. I see they say "from $0.01 per visitor", so it isn't necessarily $0.01 per visitor.

I purchase their monthly special which is the 100,000 targeted visitors package where you get 3500 visitors per day and so far I got a few leads and my alexa is moving up so I can't complain.

A few leads from 100,000 targeted visitors? Did you make an ROI?

How much is the monthly special for a medium traffic keyword?

Well, how did you target? What was your reach?

Depends on what you're targeting. I know people making a ton of money promoting with facebook, so don't be too harsh on it because of your inexperience with the platform. You just have to learn the nuances of the system. Not all clicks are going to cost you that kind of cash. Curious as to what you're targeting... probably a saturated niche with loads of competition.

It's not that Facebook is too expensive. The problem is that you are biffing on expensive keywords.

You may need to do more research to find cheaper keywords to bid.

You could also check out this post that reveals how to get cheap traffic...

True, but problem SEO as everyone say take times.
even now I still can't really judge when the results is coming.

Despite I doing it right , I even ask SEO expert to review.

      hmmm

      Ridiculous based on what?

Paying that much for a click is not, in itself, a bad thing.

from my experience I noticed website click don't convert well

i noticed more rather use to get Likes etc engagement for their FB page from there perhaps the viewers will click your site.

correct me if I wrong here.

I do choose website conversion but is really hard or perhaps my method , setting is wrong.

but for FB page engagement if you set well , just use few dollars can really boast your FB page a lot

( but also depend some luck )

I more curious how you all apply for the Ad roughly what time?

Sometime I see if you apply to get approve it does take some time by the time approve is already late at night where by most people already go to bed

    if you target US audience.

Look on the bright side, you found how to get a $1.43 click, no figure out how to get $0.43 clicks and then $0.03 & $0.04.

Its a learning process, that is why they give out coupons to help with the learning curve. Just make sure your tracking everything. 100 $0.04 clicks may not be better than 1 $4 click

$1.47 is about a third of what they'd charge in my vertical......but overall, agree.....FB ads have gotten quite a bit more expensive over the past handful of years

Well it matters all to that what are you targeting. You must have chosen a keyword that is expensive. yes you can look for cheaper keywords. google it and you will find the techniques on how to. yes facebook charges more than many other but it is worth it. i know people who earn a lot via facebook promotions. as they get you much more traffic and that too saturated for your niche. since you are in the beginning phase you will learn more and get better at it with time.
do not just walk away from facebook but instead learn ways to go aaround to pay so much to advertise there.

I don't use Facebook but I hear lots of stories of people getting clicks for $0.10 and getting likes on their fan page for less than $0.05 each.

Sounds like you need to work on your ad targeting.

Any advertisement system will cost a lot if you bid for the most expensive keywords and such. In Google Adwords there are businesses that literally pay $100+ for a single click in some high value niches.

$1.47 is very expensive - but with a lot of PPC campaigns you need to burn through a certain amount of $$$ to get some data back and start optimizing the campaign.

I've had Facebook campaigns that started off at around a dollar a click and went down to 4 - 5 c.

No one is sure how certain targeting, ad copy, graphics etc will work initially, that's why you have to be willing to test, try out different things and optimize your campaigns.

Change your strategy ( of course!)
You can have better results and rates with other resources.

My experts pay not more than $0.16 per one super-targeted click ( quality traffic)

Its not they are charging to much. It the demand and bids that drive the prices up. Thats why it is essential to know your earnings per clicks. If you are making $3 or $4 per click then spending that is no problem! Its all a numbers game.

Facebook works but it really is not buyer traffic. You need to build a list with this traffic!!! Common sense. People are on a social network and not there to buy.

In my experience paid traffic is not for those internet marketers who have tight budget and less knowledge about keywords, CTR, etc. If you lack any of this you are going to lose your shirt, no matter whichever platform you use.So, they should try FREE search engine, social media traffic. It will take time to build but you don't lose your shirt. That is important.

    hey there

Before you give up consider there are many many factors to paid ads!

You might be paying $1.47, but I could be paying $0.55 for the same traffic

because I have taken the time to:

    • Set up my targeting properly
    • narrowed down my target audience to be super relevant
    • spent days on my ad copy so I get a higher CTR and lower CPC
