What do I do with hundreds of unpublished articles?

I have written hundreds of articles and eBooks on different topics for a client who sadly passed away before completing the payment of his order.

Would any of you know how can I make money out of them? Like, quickly?

Most of them are on Internet Marketing, relationships, gardening, product reviews, and many other niches.

Your suggestions would help.

Cheers!

Check out some article writer websites like Constant Content. They allow you to put up those content for sale.

Or like what others suggested, set up your own site and use those content..

Maybe you could consider assembling them in bundles of 10, or maybe 20 and selling them as PLR. You could restrict sales to just a few sales per bundle ans charge say $10 a bundle. Same with the ebooks, except you would offer them individually.

Agreed...put them together in category packages, and also offer them as a bundle.

And why did you do the work without getting paid in advance? Lesson learned, I guess...

Your suggestion is very interesting. I will look into this...

I have no idea what a PLR is just yet and where do I sell them, but your seed-info is great and will check this out...

      Thanks!

PLR is "Public Label Rights", which means that someone can buy it, re-write it and re-brand it, and sell it themselves.

You can sell PLR content on JVZoo (and other places), and you'll almost certainly make sales just by having it there (I put a PLR dog-training Ebook up there, and have made over $700 in profit in about 4 years, just from having the book there, no other work at all). It's easy to put Ebooks there, and no cost.

        Hope that helps

You actually wrote hundreds of articles in various niches, and never took a payment from the person contracting you?

The OP said his client hadn't completed payment. We don't know how much remains owed. That said, I can understand a few articles left outstanding, and maybe one eBook. But any more work than that left unpaid seems reckless.

Again, depending on the OP's relationship with his late client, I'd be wondering how the client intended to use all these disparate articles, across various topics. Did he have a large, generalist site, or a range of specialty niche sites? If so, has anyone taken over their ownership? Presumably, they'll still need the content. Was he planning on selling on the articles to a third party? That could also be an opportunity worth checking out.

Either way, it's probably easier to start with an existing market before looking to sell the articles elsewhere.

My client made niche sites for his clients. Our project was for 20 sites, 8 to 10 articles each, content to be submitted upon completion (2 months). During the course of the project, he was battling some sort of disease. Project went kaput right after the sad event, unfortunately.

      Hi Al,

Our agreement was for me to write the content, then I will send them as soon as they are ready then he will pay. I never got to sending him the content, though, as he sadly passed as I was about to complete the project...

      Thanks!

Your client never pays you but you just keep writing hundreds of articles and eBooks for him...and then he passes away.

You must be a very patient person to keep writing for such a long time despite the fact that your client never pays you for "hundreds of articles and eBooks". Yet, suddenly now you want to know "how can I make money out of them? Like, quickly?"

    Interesting post.

I created an Ebook as part of an IM course which made a loss, but then later got advice from someone on WF who said that they make much more money by writing, than people who get paid per word.

I followed her advice, which was to put the Ebook on JVZoo, at a low price ($7 for a book of about 100 page), with PLR rights. In about 4 years, I've made over $700, with zero additional work, I just put the Ebook up there (which is easy), and have not done anything at all about sending traffic etc.

So that's one option. It's unlikely to make much money quickly, but in the long-term can be well worth it, and the total amount of work (to put it on JVZoo) is just a few minutes.

Other similar alternatives are to put books on Amazon as Kindle and physical-books.

For any of the above methods, you'd make more by promoting the book elsewhere (such as social-media), but of course, that's additional work.

Another option might be to find websites, blogs and mailing-list owners on the relevant subjects, and offer the content to them. Or create your own website or blog on the relevant subject(s).

For books on internet marketing you could make them into products, such as WSO's. Relevant factors for success include having effective sales copy, and getting your product sold on big lists (which a JV broker can help you with). There are people in the JV section of WF, who can help you with all that, but I lost money doing so, as the person I worked with never got around to finishing the project. That could make big money fast, but only if everything is done right.

Or post on the JV section of WF, asking for help marketing your content.

You can probably try all these methods, with minor adaptions of the same content, on some subjects.

    Hope that helps

    Chris

I think there isn't much that you can do, other than sell the content to as a series of articles or an eBook.

Offer them as a package on Freelancer/Upwork. I see it happening all the time. You may not get the original price you agreed with your client, but better something than nothing. Right?
