How to work on an online business while being offline?

Hello everybody,

I'm looking to start an online business, don't know what yet, I bought several WSO and other courses and I'm diving in all the material.

I spend just over three hours in total per day commuting to work and I'd like to optimize that time, as I have little time left.

For example, what are some tasks I could do offline regarding a kindle ebook business? ( I would not write the books)

I just can think of writing articles / emails if I had a blog or mailing list, writing the social media posts for uploading it to Buffer later... But can't think of more things .. What if I wanted to work on building a mail list, can't do that offline right? And so on..

Yes, I have a smartphone and could do tethering and share the data, but I only have 5gb per month and furthermore the train constantly goes through tunnels and such so connection is slow or inexistent.

Could you enlighten me? Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you very much in advance for everything.

Sleep, that way you can sleep less when you're home and could go online longer, when you're home.

Other than that: think, do research (buy books, ebooks, pdfs), create ads, call people.

  • The only way you can do quality IM work is to allot time for it. You do not have to multitask, especially doing things that are completely not related to each other. It is more productive to stay focused one one task at a time as this strategy will give you quality results. If you want to 'speed thing up', you can search for tools that will somehow automate some of your marketing tasks like tools to automate and schedule your social media marketing for example.

  • You should first decide what you want to do. When decided then just start at a very low level according to the time you do have and then slowly and gradually expend and automate.

Question. Is your commute time in your own vehicle or public transportation?

If your own vehicle then I would get a small digital recorder that has USB hookup and get something like Dragon Naturally Speaking. That way, you can write articles during your commute.

If you are on public transportation then get yourself a tablet. There are some pretty inexpensive ones out there.

Outsourcing would be the best of course, but for that I'd need a more or less profitable business, I just wanted to speed things a little bit. I take note of your comments of course

Perhaps you can create videos that have something to do with offline. Like someone who has a trade and you show them doing their trade for others to learn from.

I once had a hairstylist friend and suggested she create videos of her creating the new hairstyles and she made a sweet killing with that.

The same could be true for someone that customizes cars, makes jewelry, really any crafts etc.

Then your online operations would consist pretty much uploading your offline videos and promoting them.
