Hello Warrior,

I want to upload some plugins for my next wordpress site. For my previous 2 blogs I used filezilla but I just saw that you can install them directly from your dashbord. if you click on plgins and then on add new you an search the ones you want.
Is it the same thing? Because everytime I see some guides they show you how to do it through filezilla etc.

But it is much easier this way. I wanted to ask you if it is the same thing?

Yes, if you can find them through your dashboard it's the same thing. Just make sure it's the most current version of the plugin.

  You can also use the dashboard "Add New" and then "Upload" (2nd tab from the left at the top of the screen) to install one from your computer, it needs to be left zipped though when you choose this option.

The newest version of Wordpress allows you to upload plugins directly to your blog. In older versions of Wordpress you had to use an ftp program like filezilla, to upload the plugins.

While you can still do that, the easiest way to upload plugins is directly through the Wordpress interface.

This goes for updating the plugins and for updating Wordpress itself. Wordpress will let you know if there is a newer version of the plugin avialable. Wordpress will also let you know if there is a newer version of Wordpress itself.

The latest vesrion of Wordpress is very user friendly.

BTW: my favorite plugin is the All in One SEO Pack. Very powerful.

the old version of wordpress rocks. I simply love it. and my hosting also giving flexibility to u update it without a problem by just one click updation.
