I know I saw something similar to this 1.5 years ago here at WF.. Kind of forgot about it and ran across it yesterday.

It's called Shitexpress · Send shit in a box to someone, stay anonymous, pay with Bitcoin/PayPal.

The guy started in Oct. 2014. He got most of his traffic from a Bitcoin Forum and Redditt.

Did the whole Site in one evening.
Has over 7K visitors a day.

He plans on doing it long term he says. Not sure if he can sustain it. It might be a fleeting gag gift to piss off an Ex or bad boss.

But still interesting, nonetheless.
Similar to that potato guy.

There are plenty of these opportunities out there. Just a matter of testing and finding a Social Media outlet that you can utilize. Some say it is not a real business.

But thats debatable

    Hmm, it boils down to semantics, really.

    After all, one can argue about it 'til he's blue in the face but the fact remains that what this guy is doing isn't functionally different to any other small business (minus the fact that he's using bodily functions to supply the... ahh... product).

    In all honesty, I'm not surprised at the fact that he's having so much success.

    There are so many inane products that people buy just for the purpose of entertainment (sometimes at other people's expense), that it was only a matter of time before someone decided to monetize selling crap (and no, I don't mean the kind of crap some info marketers sell).

      Yep I agree, Daniel. People love crazy, fun stuff and will gladly pay for it. Some of the old school Marketers will refute it as silly fads. And condemn it much like the Pet Rock...and we all know how that turned out

    I read about this business somewhere (forgot where), and I decided to do a bit of research on it.

    Turns out, sending doo doo through the mail is a felony.

    It requires a special haz-mat license and I don't even think the US postal service even handles haz-mat(I know FedEx will).

    In light of all the terrorism and stuff that's happened in recent years, I wouldn't even THINK of using their "services".

      Or Burger King is just another Mcdonalds.

      My point is there is almost always room for competition and if you develop a unique competitive advantage you can find some Success and stake out your own Market Share. Regardless if it has been done before

        In real-world, practical terms, I look at competition as opportunity. Which sounds entirely cheesy, but bear with me. (Oi, I said bear - put your knickers back on, you saucy thing.)

        I might enter a market where competitors have been in business for 20 years. That means I have 20 years of market knowledge to draw on. Every little thing and every big thing they've learned. Every good idea they've had. All of it? Mine, ripe for the plucking.

        And that's how I put together every new IM venture. I become a student of the competition. I take the knowledge, I take the good ideas, I add my own, and the idea is to put together something better.

        It's one of many reasons for why I love IM. We can sit in our home office and expand our minds and, at the same time, exercise our creative muscles just as much as we like. It beats the hell out of being a rat in the Rat Race.
