How do you put amazon code on WP site?

Hi:
I have a site I have been working on and I want to monetize it and I cannot figure out how to put it into the site.

On the amazon site they give me code and say: "Highlight and copy the HTML below, then paste it into the code for your Web site "

I watch You Tube and people just copy paste and it works. I do it and I get a site with a bunch of code on it. I can click the "link" on the site and then put the code in it but I still get a site with a bunch of code on it.

What am I missing?
Or maybe the question I should ask is where is the "code" I am to copy to?

I've pasted analytics code on some of my blog posts and I think the reason your code is showing up on your site is because you pasted it on the "visual" tab instead of the "text" tab. Try to switch that to "text", then paste the code.

There are a few ways. First is to open the editor and add the code yourself into the theme files (not recommended). Second way would be adding affiliate code tothe posts or pages you can create from your dashboard. Last is to use a plugin, I found a few here. https://goo.gl/N0r8P5

In Wordpress Site you can paste the Amazon Affiliate code in Widget.

If you want to paste in Pages or Post.

Which creating a Page you can find "Visual" and "Text" on the right Corner of the Content ad Page. Just click Text and enter the Code. Then you can Visualize the Add in Visual.

Once you publish the Post or Page. It will be Visible in your website.

It sounds to me as if you are entering the code using the Visual Editor in Wordpress. This won't work, you need to enter it using the Text Editor.

Personally, I dislike the Visual Editor and disable it completely from within Users > Profile (my profile). It's one of the first thing I do whenever I set up a new WP site.
