Can you use Word Press as a "Business" site

Ok don't want to go too deep into it but I have a domain and hosting just wondering if I installed a Word Press Blog on my domain for business could I (in theory) just put up pay pal button from that point and form of contact?

I'm still very new to the "Internet Marketing" scene I know a little as far as the basics but still way behind some of you master minds on here!!!

You can do anything with a Wordpress site that you can with a site built by hand or on any other platform. Google Wordpress PayPal plugin to see your options there. But you could even simply create your own PayPal button and write your own IPN script and have it work with Wordpres.

Wordpress also gives you the power of creating a static front page that can be your sales letter. Available autoresponder and mailing list plugins, plugins providing connectivity to Aweber, and a ton of other plugins give you even more power.

    Jump and do it.

Wordpress is immensely flexible with the various themes and plugins available - I've known several businesses that make use of wordpress and you really wouldn't THINK that is was wordpress.

Yep - Wordpress rocks. The key to making it look good is choosing the right theme. You might consider a "magazine" theme, such as Revolution or the one I use, Branford.

Have a look at my site and see if it's what you have in mind: The CBI Clubhouse - a Community for Children's Book Writers Writing Picture Books, Easy Readers, Young Adult Books and More!

Wordpress is the coolest easiest to use platform I have ever found. I am reasonably adept at understanding techie stuff but html and coding has eluded me. Since loaded Wordpress and the Thesis theme I am moving forward

I agree. I use Wordpress for SEO Articles. Just get rid of the unneccessary widgets like categories, recent posts etc to increase clickthrough rates to your affiliate links.

I'm using a Wordpress theme for my business... Thesis... versatile and optimized.

Recommend it... also the plugins you get nowadays are getting more elaborate and stealth like... you'd be crazy not to use wordpress!

    good luck!

Yeah I agree with most of the above. WP is an excellent platform and as well as havin many useful plugins etc, is very easily customisable with a little knowledge.

You can easily use Paypal with it so give it a go!
