You have to make yourself successful. Pick a niche you have passion in, since you are going to need a lot of passion to not give up before you start making a few bucks.

Here are some suggestions, Insurance niche, technology niche, health niche. You can pick from a million niches. Make a website related about how good baby diapers are. Like I said, the people who operate these sites are who make it succesful.

You can choose to tackle a big topic or a small topic. Depends on how many hours you are willing to put in.

I had a Facebook page that was centred around pranks. I would often do "share for share" agreements with humour pages (they're ten by the dozen) to build the page.

I would then post links to joke amazon items, such as whoopy cushions, prank scratch cards, joke books.

Did really well for a while but for some reason I stopped doing promotion

Amazon is not the best choice for affiliate programs: commissions are low.

The following three niches are always good:

    1) Health / Diet / Weight Loss

    2) Dating / Relationships

    3) Money / Make money online / Investing

Do not choose a niche because you think (or believe) that there is much money to be made. Choose a niche that interests you and that you have some knowledge.

If you can choose your interested niche then it will be good for you. If you wish to get a clear idea then you need to monetize your followers and what they have interested from your posts on social media. So, you can choose a product which is most engaged to your users.

Personally I think you are putting the cart before the horse.

Select the niche FIRST and then see if Amazon is the best way (or a good way) to monetize on it.

Actually check out this website, https://www.shopify.com/ for selling Amazong stuff.

As for your question, my mentor who is making 7k a day on Amazon reselling taught me that you should not pick one niche.

When it comes to reselling on Amazon he says, you should pick several niches because it is not about what product you like, it's about what products your buyers like - and there are usually several niches associated with what your audience like because everybody is different.

My mentor's name is Adrian Morrison, check him out on google. He has a training on Amazon reselling.

    Good luck!

If you're going to promote Amazon products, then you need to choose a niche that has somewhat more expensive products, because you won't make much with Amazon Associates - due to their very low commission rate.

In short, it's far better to work on a niche that you are really passionate about or atleast interested in, and then find relevant products to promote, but generally affiliate marketers have a very bad reputation, so if you want your audience to trust your recommedations, always promote legitimate products that will bring value to the life of your audience.

If you're still NOT sure about what niche you need to start work on, then try this Evergreen and very profitable Niche:

    - Health
    - Wealth
    - Relationships

There are many sub-niches within this huge markets... So you will find it easier to promote stuff if you are in those niches.

    Good luck

The following CPA or affiliate programs are good (better than Amazon!):

        Trade Doubler (Europe)
        Click Bank (U.S.A.)
        Warrior Plus (U.S.A.)
        JVZoo (U.S.A)
        Market Health (U.S.A.)
        C J Affiliate (ex Commission Junction) (U.S.A.)
        Rakuten Marketing (ex-Link Share) (U.S.A.)
        PeerFly (U.S.A)
        Max Bounty (Canada)

Marlon Sanders made a good point. "Whatever people are buying - I'm selling."

One of the first things I do is type my keyword into Google and Bing to see what type of ads come up. If there is a lot of ads, chances are people are spending money.

I also use ClickBank to browse through the different products to see what is in demand and what is not. As mentioned, anything involving greed and vanity will always sell.

But if I take art for example I can find no products with a gravity higher than 15.

Physical products can have a pretty high conversion though, especially with keywords like "buy" along with them.

When you think about it, most people who go to Amazon already have their credit card in their hand. Myself included

You don't actually need a product

    what product banks have? None.

So let's go to the source, of the Internet:

Real traffic, clicks and a ton of email and banner ads

NOW you are at the source of the Internet

    thats what makes it tick

Whilst you absolutely should do something you're passionate about, you need to make sure it's a profitable niche.

As CityCowboy said, the health, wealth and relationship niches are where the money is at.

Just make sure you find a sub-niche within those markets and come up with a USP which really does differentiate you from the competition.

If you choose a niche that you don´t have much knowledge in. Then search for a partner with that knowledge.

I always see Amazon as a search engine, you can search for top selling product, check the competition, check the costs, and there you will find your niche!
