Meeting the legal requirements of the FCC

I'm just starting out in the affiliate business, and I am looking to start out with blogging. However, from what I've read, there are legal requirements on where I can place the disclaimer on my blog relative to any links I post. Does anyone have any experience with this or helpful suggestions?

Follow the instructions for each individual affiliate network you work with.

A policies type page with your affiliate disclosure is usually enough except if you are an amazon associate, then the amazon disclosure has to be on every page that there is a link to amazon. Most people will just put the amazon disclosure in the footer or sidebar of their site.

Also go to the FCC site and read the law yourself

The FTC regulates these things, not the FCC. :-)

Thanks for the help. I didn't realize that some affiliate companies provided recommendations or suggestions on where to put the disclaimer. It makes sense now that I think about it.

If you google something like "affiliate disclaimer page" you will find lots of examples that you will be allowed to use. Also make sure you have a contact page.
