In your opinion, which is better in terms of passive income over time, Youtube adsense or A website based on a specific niche? Assuming that the channel has over 1 million subs..

Maybe, you can state the pros and cons of the two methods..

YouTube if it has 1,000,000 REAL subs (unlikely), and the videos are evergreen.

I'm not sure how you get "passive" income from either one though. You'd have to keep making/adding videos to YouTube or content to the site.

Either way, the major con IMO is that you've put all of your eggs in one basket. Google has already wiped entire businesses that were very profitable off the face of the earth literally overnight.

If you're going to build a business, it's best to control as much of it as you can and not depend on just one thing for your business to succeed.

Why did Google removed one the sites? Did this site violate any of the TOS?

Businesses, as in plural, and a lot of them.

Regional Warrior is right. Sure there are people making 10k per month on YouTube. How sustainable is it? I don't know, I don't really use YouTube. How likely is it that you will make $10k? Probably extremely unlikely since probably less that .00001% of YouTubers make $10k per month.

I understand the thought patterns but to make the bucks takes hard work but one thing is that adds and adsense will not be the best way to go as 85% have adblockes now and they do not show up including Facebook

Where people used to make the 6 figures in ads on the net is slowly dying
and it comes across as if you want to make 7 figures really quickly but you don't have the know how!

Although some may have installed adblock, but still some of the Youtubers are still making over $10 k per month.

So, apart from that, which way do you prefer as a way of passive income?

I would like you to name the people making 10k ? I was only giving you the truth and worst part is that some people have to realize at some stage adds are not working hence mobile was the next way but the new Apple IPhone coming out has inbuilt adblocker before that 75% of mobile traffic for Google was from I phones and as of today IPhone have told Facebook use our browser or you dont get to be on the new phone

A youtube channel with more 1m+ subscribers will be much more profitable than most websites. But, the income from youtube is not passive and it's not about adsense, once a channel starts getting big, adsense earnings starts becoming more and more irrelevant, unless you choose to rely completely on adsense and stay away from other opportunities.
