I'm a software developer by trade and am looking for a new hobby...

I was wondering if anyone has come across some sort of competition or sporting event that you think needs software built for it. You know, something like darts where people can register for a tournament and judges can update contestants on who won, etc...

I know that there is software for a lot of stuff like this but I'm sure that some of the obscure sporting events or contests or competitions need something like this...

    I wish that I had the skills you have as a software developer...I can think of a few softwares or plugins that I would create that would sell very well...maybe think along those lines my friend...
