Those are all popular niches but the competition is fierce.
If you are new to affiliate marketing, you will get eaten alive in these niches. Try something that is less competitive for better results.

Well, my vote goes to the dating niche... but I am a bit biased. There is definitely money to be made there. I can personally vouch for that!

It's the marketing that makes the sales. You can bomb in any niche if you're a lousy marketer. You can win in any niche if you're good. Pick a niche and run with it. You will learn quickly how good you are and what you need to improve. Worrying about competition is failures prelude to the blame game, "it's not my fault". Just pick something and go to work.

Hey bro..I don't agree with this statement. Do you think someone will be able to learn quickly how good is a person doing in a niche? Don't you think that it'll take a lot of time, testing and most importantly patience in order to see the good end results?

Totally agree. Some niches require a more personal hands-on approach while others lend themselves to less work in general.

That being said, I'd recommend you choose a niche about which you can write for a long, long time...the more interest you have, the more enthusiasm you'll possess and willingness to stay the path.

(For myself, there isn't a niche on your list that I would touch, with the possible exception of weight loss, and that one only in a very unusual, inventive way just as a little experiment).
i agree. i've gcd'd every niche out there. you really have to dig, or come up with a new angle on an existing hot product. or something like that.

They are markets more than niches. There are possibilities to make money with all of them.

Well when it comes to marketing there are alot involved especially when it had to be done online.

In my own opinion you can sell any of those product when you have gained experience.

First of all pick a product you love, then find out what you competitor is doing and try to provide a more better offer. In the nutshell, you need a USP (Unique Selling Point).

    This is just a recommendation...

At first, rather than focusing on the niche itself, you might want to consider niche/affiliate marketing systems. While there is money in each of those niches you mention, and regardless of the niche, a system is what will help you to consistently make money.

It is true online competition can be fierce.Competition just means there is money in the niche. Doesn't necessarily mean you are too late.

Have you ever noticed how fast food restaurants often find themselves in close proximity? They are not overly concerned with the competition. I would say they use the competition to their benefit and by offering a different menu each merely allows the customer to decide based on their preference.

Each restaurant uses a similar system to bring the customer a fast, hot meal.

What are the systems online companies use to make consistent money in competitive niches?

    Affiliate systems.

Find the successful affiliates in each of those niches you list off, you might be surprised at who you find, study what they are doing. The better question for you to answer, might be... what is the best system we can implement?

And with a system in place first you can quickly determine whether or not you can compete in your chosen niches.

weight loss or dating are probably the best, but I guess it does kinda depend on what you're doing with them, free info? ebook?

High competition should not even pose a problem. Weight loss and dating sites are actually rocking these days. I know if one is making good use of the right information, proven marketing tools, and avenues; bringing in lot of more sales on any high in demand niche is a reality. Recently, I realized that reselling and running affiliate programe of domain names and web hosting are big business.

I will rather look out for healthy strategies and use them to beat the competition. It doesn't matter how many people are in the business, you could stand out successfully with the right information and tools.

What you describe is not a niche market. Focus first on WHO you want to serve, and then ask what's his biggest PAIN or FRUSTRATION.

For example, women 35+ that are divorced with kids. What's their biggest PAIN? It can be that they have to pay the bills while taking care of their kids? Or they have to find themselves morally attractive? Or feel resentful towards men in general and avoid all sort relationships with male friends?

When you find the answer (ask your customer), you'll have found a niche.

    Hi Alexa,

Here is a good rationale for targeting competitive markets...

I used to go fishing every chance I got. I read the newspapers, magazines, etc. to find out where I could find the best fishing. One of the places that was always a hot fishing spot was Dexter Dam near Eugene in Oregon. I hightailed it out there to try my hand at landing a large salmon and my mouth was watering when I got there. Unfortunately, everyone else was hightailing it to the latest hot spot, too!

That's the way it is in a lot of areas of life... people want to be where the action is. It's the same thing with making money online. It's not necessarily that the nice is competitive but the different methods of making money in those niches could be VERY competitive.

There are a LOT of low cost PPC search engines where you can still get very good keywords for pennies. It's just that people tend to copy the way that other people are using to create success.

I found out a long time ago that if I avoid the well-worn trails that everyone else is taking and make my own path, I can get to great fishing spots that people rarely go to.

    Take care!

      Hi,
Well, all the niches you mention in your post are very profitable as amongst those, I will prefer dental care and fitness as today people are more going for these two niches, and this will definitely drive maximum traffic to your niche.

Else, it is important to choose specific niche according to your specific knowledge about which you have more and more new feedbacks.

      Thanks!!

I assume you are a complete newbie in IM. These niches wil lall sell, but you need to know how to use social media marketing to target them. Ther is no way you can use ppc advertising or SEO any of these niches unless you find micro niches within one of these niches.

I would vote for weight loss and dating. This is because I have seen success for these 2 niches. I am talking about clickbank products generally.

don't guess and count votes to make your decision
use a software like 'market samurai' to do some research
and then compare each niche and decide on the keywords you want to go after
all niches are profitable if affiliates are spending funds to promote products
it's up to you as an internet marketer to start evaluating these things
good luck and all the best in your new venture !
