Dropship vs Amazon Affiliate Checkouts

It's been a while since i have been on this website but i recently set up http://poker-clothing.com/ to test a few things.
Initially, i wanted to drop ship items but to deliver to the UK the delivery times are too long.
So i looked at Amazon and the issue there is the fact that the customer redirects to amazon at the checkout.
Have you found that this leads to a drop in conversions as people seem to think it is a scam?
You also loose the customers information that you would have gained at the checkout if you were going to take payment yourself.
What's your opinion and thoughts on this? Also, bonus points if anyone has any suggestions for combining affiliate products and your own physical products to the store as you can't have a checkout that would process half the items in the store and then redirect to amazon
