Hahaha Yukon, now thats funny,

and correct. I have a new site in that niche and I try everything,
from dating to university related stuff to IM products, best response
so far from Instagram are "clicks" - they respond very well to anything
celebs related and also to very smart jokes about celebs.

Then they love you to bits and click it. Now you have to send these
clicks to fashion related things, like clothing, designer perfumes etc.

Brandon, by the way, if I send your friends some of my own memes,
sort of best of the best, would they give me some backlinks? Just
asking, since the site is so new and needs some newbie boost.

Then again they get something out of it, because my stuff is unique.

I'm a little confused about your question about backlinks. Are you referring to linking to your Instagram account? You can't link to web pages in Instagram posts, only in the bio.

  Contact those two sources that sell potatoes or glitter, have them setup an affiliate system for you, then test it on your traffic. I've done that before in another niche, contacted a guy that had a cool product, he setup an affiliate system just because I asked. I asked for 20% of the sale and he didn't even attempt to haggle on the price.

I agree you should go the viral website route. Create something like a Meme or Vine website and get ads on it. Then, promote that. People will visit the site, see relevant content, share the content to continue growing it and best of all, you'll be making revenue from banner ads the entire time.

People who like viral images and memes usually fit the demographics:

Age: Teens to mid 30's
Geeky

Maybe you could start with some CPA links and see how it goes?

You could sign up at zazzle.com, make some funny shirts (These sell really well)
Add a link to your bio. When you post a new pic, tell them to go to the link in your bio to buy (I really wish IG would let you link IN each pic)

I would recommend testing out CPA offers...

Specifically lead gen targeted at something the audience would like (depending more on what types of funny videos are shown).

You might not be able to find the perfect offer at first...

But with the volume of people, promoting something is better than promoting nothing.

There is a lot of great advice above I would give them all a test to see what kind of results you get. I will also add to the person who recommended zazzle.com besides funny teeshirts zazzle has a lot of products you can customize and one I think would do well on Instagram is selling smartphone cases. Zazzle lets you create a smartphone case you just provide the graphic or artwork which you can have made cheaply on fiverr or you can buy stock photos that let you use them commercially and make a smartphone case store on zazzle. Have at least a few categories that might do well like funny jokes, quotes, patterns etc.

Mike, did you ever tried working with influencers promoting physical products like Nutrional Supplements via a coupon code?

I have a friend who owns a sports nutrition brand that did craft a win win situation for the potential clients and influencers.

a $100 sale would get a 10% off unique coupon via a given influencer that would also make $10 if the customer completed de purchase. everything tracked via coupon.

Tell your friend to do this:

Create a free t-shirt design of his brand or create a brand, offer

the t-shirt at a low price just a hair above your production price

so not to lose money and then funnel them into an email list!

The brand will grow, everyone loves cheap t shirts with cool designs.

Then you sell awesome things through the list!

Very interesting post. Instagram is quite hectic, but I find the most difficult thing to do is to make money from it. But the products suggested above sound like a really good idea for that particular niche, that is. What I do with my Instagram is to funnel followers to my blog and my WhatsApp. WhatsApp IS 'the' better bet to make money in my niche.

I have watched a video that has millions of followers, and with this he is getting good conversion

of traffic, and he is the top seller, what he does is to keep everything they way it was he never change

any way of posting in Instagram, he do the every 2 hour posting and deleting the first posts that he did
