Is anyone making real profit from sending traffic directly to CPA offers?

Lately I am seeing a lot of posts and blogs and thing where people claim they
send traffic directly to CPA offers, like from bing ads, or solo ads.

I'd be interested to know if this business model really works out. Anyone with some real experience?

I use a funnel and build my list and introduce CPA offers at some points in my funnel and it works quite well. I can't imagine sending traffic from ads directly to offers. Some even say they send them to clickbank products (I have not yet been able to sell one single cb product, in my niche they are all just crap)
Maybe in other niches there are great cb offers.

I'd be very interested to hear what your experience is with this

Of course there'll be the rare conversion where someone will sign up because they're curious. You'll make a lot more money if you create a landing page that sells the offer before they go to it.

Preselling the offer is what will increase your conversions. I tried both sending people straight to the offer, and using a landing page. I've made more money by using the landing pages.

Making money with CPA offers is all about testing and optimization. Data is king in the world of making money with CPA offers.

Test it and see for yourself the only way you will know if something works is to test it yourself.

This can work and you need to find good places to market. You have to track everything you do.

If I were you, I would not do this. Send people to subscribe to YOUR list and then you can promote anything and make more money. Give value to them all the time and get new leads all the time.

It's difficult to make a profit from direct linking to CPA offers because firstly, offers that require no sale have a low payout, so you need a low CPC to make any sort of ROI. For offers that require a sale, most people do not buy unless they are either searching for that particular product or they have been pre-warmed to it i.e. via a high quality sales page or email series.

I've been doing this for over 16 years. But my traffic has a slight twist to it.

However, I heavily promote PPL (pay per lead) offers, free sign-ups, free trials and a small amount of offers that are 100% purchase.

I drive traffic by acquiring data (email). I acquire fresh/targeted data that I know what the users are interested in and a ppl offer exists that matches their interest. I generate real-time co-reg that targets specific ppl offers. I also acquire aged data, but sending it is more complex and requires additional tools/resources.

Basically I monetize data using free offers, because they offer the path of least resistance to generating conversions and converting the data into cash producing assets. In addition, I then own all the data and can market to it over and over, unlike how most marketers spend their advertising dollars, where they are usually just getting clicks. The key is you always want to be collecting your opens / clicks and over time you will build smaller, but much more responsive lists, that you will eventually be able to send less and make more, each time you mail.

Obviously there is more that goes into it, but done right it can be extremely profitable!

While it is preferable to send paid traffic to your Squeeze page to build your list and then promote CPA offers to your subscribers. But sometimes, Direct Linking is good too, especially when you don't feel good about the product, or when the product is NOT in your niche and you still want to promote it.

May I ask if you have done this / are doing this with any kind of success?

I'll not ask you to give away your secrets, just interested to hear if you THINK it is possible or if you KNOW from your own experience, and if so, maybe you have a few innocent pointers for me?

It can certainly work but it's leaving money on the table. At minimum you should at least be using a landing page. And even better if you collect emails and build a list.

Building a list was something that I neglected and now I am regretting that I didn't start from the beginning. Not building a list is leaving so much money on the table. If you start build a list you have an asset. A list that is well nurtured and trusts you is an asset that will let you make money almost for the rest of your life.

    thxs for your insights.

I think it is an accepted view that it is better to send traffic through some kind of funnel plus capture their data before sending to offers.

I was just interested if anyone has tried the direct way and succeeded (or failed)

I think I will try it myself when I get a spare moment and some free cash to invest.

It seems an attractive way to make money. Because I don't really want to build a relationship with my list or build up trust or anything like that. I don't know if I even want to bother with keeping a list.
It's like keeping a pet. You have to care for them all of the time.

And whereas I love my cats I do not have the same affection for my list ....
