How can i be affliate marketer

One thing to keep in mind is that there a big world outside of selling IM / MMO products / services.

What has worked the best for me, over the past 16+ years is promoting PPL (pay per lead) offers because there is no credit card / purchase required to complete an offer. All a user has to do is fill out a form to get paid. So conversion rates are typically much higher than offers that require a sale.

I favor offers that have a make, get or save money angle/benefit to them, as they have performed the best for me and tend to have the greatest mass appeal. So the potential exists to produce high volume.

There are many ppl offers that pay $20-$60 per lead and higher depending on the vertical that work well on a front-end campaign. Offers that pay less or non PPL offers I will usually promote on the back-end.

Other offers that have also worked for me are free sign-ups(dating for example), free trials +s&h (weight loss, ecig, etc... where the user pays like $4.99 for shipping and handling, but receives something that normally has a $50-$60+ upfront cost. So while they are getting it for completely free, the value to cost is high enough that they still tend to convert well. I also promote limited number of offers that are 100% purchase, but most of what I promote are free offers or almost free.

I'm just simply taking the path of least resistance to generate conversions / $$$.

Anyway, something to think about.

Put in the simplest terms...

Find an offer you like (that will pay you for sending people to it)
Work out how to drive traffic to that offer who are interested

Simple

Where it get's complicated is picking which offers, working out where the people who are interested in that are and then even harder is trying to get those people to the website to actually buy/signup or take some kinda action so you get paid.

There is SO much information out there.

My suggestion is that you do your research, find someone you can work with, and dig in your heels and make it happen for yourself.

Affiliate marketing is simply recommending someone else's product. So, find products you feel good about recommending and get to it!

In the process, I would suggest that you build a list. As you recommend products, you should be creating a list of potential buyers.

And....keep an eye on creating your OWN product. It does not have to be long or complex, just quality and valuable to your leads.

There are tons of youtube videos and article, it will teach you end to end affiliate marketing,
create a blog and promote it, that is the first step for affiliate marketting.

I agree with Christyjohnson Johnson. The first place I look when doing research on anything these days is youtube.

You would be surprise of how many full webinars you can find about all things internet marketing on youtube for free.

Some of these webinars are the same ones the creator uses to train his/her students and downlines.

To me, in simplified terms, to be an affiliate you need to drive traffic (this can be paid or free) to affiliate offers

Start reading articles on sites like ProBlogger.net, SmartPassiveIncome.com, NicheHacks.com, NichePursuits.com, JohnChow.com

Just read and learn a ton. Once you have enough knowledge, you'll be able to think for yourself and you won't need to rely on other people for answers.

There are many methods of doing affiliate marketing. Many programs steer you toward selling Make Money Online programs but there are many other types of products to sell of course.. Amazon affiliates can do well. The commission percentage is not high but the consumer confidence is very high as people love to buy on Amazon.


Also I am a big believer on using the search feature on this forum as a research tool. You can learn a lot here.

My advice: 1. Find out peoples BIGGEST problems. What do they want fixed now? Be in the business of solving problems 2. Build your list whenever you can. People are most likely to buy something they've seen more than once.

The best thing you can do is just get started. You'll never know what works and what doesn't work if you never try. Personally, I've done fairly well with Amazon Associates. It's a well trusted brand.

The first thing you need to do is 'Market Research'. You need to know what people are buying. Choose a niche where you can supply an answer to people's problems.


eg. How can I lose weight, How do I make money online, how do I cure my acne, how do I stop my dog from barking, How do I stop smoking. You get the idea. It can be anything. Don't be afraid of the competition. If there's lots of competition, that means there's a big market for it.


If you want to sell a particular product, say a Clickbank product, buy it first. See what you think of it. If you think it's rubbish, then probably every one you try to sell it to will think so too, resulting in lots of refund requests and your ruined reputation.


If you find a good product that works, make a short video review and put it on Youtube. If you optimise it correctly, you stand a good chance of it appearing in the Google organic search results. Remember, Google owns Youtube, so it loves to see Youtube ads in it's search engine.
