Help with Camtasia needed

Im using camtasia studio 6 and im trying to blur out some stuff. When i use the blur callout it doesnt create a box down on the timeline that will let me drag the length of the callout. So i am stuck with a blur callout that is only 3 seconds long and i cannot figure out how to make it last longer ( other than creating a new one every 3 seconds which isnt feasible in a 5 minute video lol )

Any ideas on what im doing wrong or how to fix it? I searched for answers and found som evids but theirs all shows the definable callout box in the timeline where as mine doesnt for some reason.

I don't believe that there is an answer to your question. If you can't see the blur box than you probably need to delete and reinstall the software. I'm 99.9% sure that it's not something in the setting of the software.

    Cheers,

    Mike G

    EDIT:

    Maybe you can update?

To the right of "Show Storyboard" above your timeline, click "Tracks" and then make sure "Callout Tracks" has a checkmark. If that doesnt give you the callouts timeline, insert a picture over the area you want to blur out instead.

    Hi,

I had the same problem and luckily for you, my 2 days of searching for an answer are going to come in handy right now.

To extend the lenght of the callout, first zoom in (using the zoom button on the timeline) and you should see the a black border around the callout. Click on the vertical bar on drag it to the desired point in the video.

    This should solve your problem.

    Good luck,

    Hav

yes this is the correct answer! It's clearly a Camtasia programming inadequacy, but your mouse is not able to "grab" onto that call-out in the time-line until it is bigger. Like Hav said, just Zoom in close, extend it, then you can return to your preferred Zoom after the length adjustment.
