Hi warriors. I am trying to sell a site that has made $511 in clickbank sales in August but I have issues with paypal.

I can not use paypal for now due to the "Nigerian factor" but is there any other payment option? Is there an escrow service that will pay by western union or wire transfer?

Plus, how much do you think I should go for, for a site that is has made $511.01 in clickbank sales and has 105 articles at EZA that are well ranked. I was hoping for $2000 but the site has exceeded my expectaction by crossing the $400 target I set for myself at the beginning of the month.

great Job on starting a site and succeeding with it, getting into clickbank, and now flipping it! Great Job! I know that there is alertpay for another option for online merchants right?

I use Paymate as well as Paypal, and they're quite good. For me, I use them as I'm Australian, and being an Australian company they offer some perks for me. But, they're available to everyone I believe.

They have some pretty strict anti fraud processes that they run everyone through, so I would think the "Nigerian factor" as you say, wouldn't cause you trouble as they will vet your transactions anyway.

For me, after my first few transactions they contacted me to ask for some more description and detail about what I do. Then they also contacted one of my clients to make sure he was a happy camper. That manual checking process is quite good I think.

So if you want to check them out, here's the site: Paymate: Online payment service - sell online, buy online

I'm not sure to be honest as I haven't used Flippa since it switched over from Sitepoint. I don't think there would be any automated integration though. They're still building up their presence, and have themselves integrated with Ebay, but I think that's about the only one.

If you can send your payment requests manually, I'd be guessing that would be the only way.

Paypal is a big threat to my business but I am sure I will find a way round this.

Kezz, I have just sent you a pm.

      Any other suggestion from warriors?

My suggestion is you partner up with someone from the US or UK or some other locale that does not have the barriers you are facing.

        Good Luck

Thanks for suggestion. I have contacted so many people on the warrior forum but none is able or willing to help.

No one is going to deal with a Nigerian but I will not hide my identity, no I won't.

Paypal cannot be a threat to your busniess unless you are in the payment processing business. Looking at your site, I am guessing you are not.

I am not posting this to make you feel bad, but to help you to think differently. If paypal didn't exist, wouldn't you be in business? How would you accept payments then?

Does Google checkout work for you?

        How about a merchant account?

Do you have a friend or relative living outside Nigeria who can be trusted by both parties (you and your customers)?

I have heard some people use a service called "moneybookers". I don't know the good, bad or ugly about them, but that could be an option. (must do your research before using their service)

I am sure you will find a solution. Best of luck.

Thanks for the advise. I can run my business without paypal but it is almost impossible when flipping a site. Most buyers prefer paypal.

Why don't you just keep the site if it made you $400 in one month?

I did not make $400. I made $511.01. I have to sell cos I just moved from Nigeria to another country and I need as much money as I can get to settle down.

I have spent the last 2 months working from an internet cafe and now I need to sell that site and get my own internet connection.

Escrow would be a good option and many buyers prefer that too.

For this kind of site (around $3,000), escrow would be your best bet. And safest.

Hamida and Swastik, thanks for the advise. I will go with the escrow option and see what happens. I will try to list the site at flippa tomorrow but that is I am able to find an escrow service that will accept Nigerians or Beninose ( I am a national of both countries).

    Hey Yommy

Love the fact that you are straightforward with your nigerian identity

    Escrow.com is not opened to Nigerians, I should know I've tried using them before {i'm A Nigerian}

    You could try
    EscrowDNS.com
    Sedo.com

They will accept payments on your behalf and send your money via the option of your choice.

Thanks mate. I have got to be straight forward. I have tried to hide my identity by making sure I change the topic once any one has but it has always gone back to hurt me. I have been called a scammer because of it before and you should know how that feels.

Yeah I know escrow.om does not accept Nigerians but they accept Benin republic and I am a National of Benin Republic as well.

Yeah, you should try it. It is nice but you need to do some learning first if you don't want to fail.
