Allen, War Room For Those Who Can't Use PayPal

Allen, excellent move about the war room. A quick question, is there another way to pay for any member who lives in a country where they can't use PayPal?

Bev, while I am not Allen, I do know of a way to pay for the War Room.

Using Simoncards Giftaccounts, or entropay.com you can get a prepaid C/C that looks like it is being used by people from the US.

Then any VPN service that gives you an IP address (most of them come with one week free trial and thereafter $5/month that most people only wishing to use VPN to join War Room will might need to pay) that says you are from the US.

its sad you have to pretend to be from the US to get stuff done sometimes... or else things just don't work. This might take about 15 minutes to complete, but is well worth the value inside the War Room.

Now that you said that, still MORE may wise up and use AVS and that would mean your trick wouldn't work.

As it happens, PP loves Indians, so I didn't need that trick for myself anyways.

        I just know it works.

AVS is not supported by many international banks and makes it so that people in many countries around the world cannot order if you use it.

YEAH, that is the ONE problem, CURRENTLY. Of course, if they expect that you MUST be in the U.S., it doesn't matter.

I'm so frustrated. Paypal is not available in SA. I've looked at virtual credit cards as
well which requires that you only put the amount you're going to use and then get
a number that you put in. When your purchase is done then your number expires.

Definitely going to try out your suggestion. This is a very old topic but with very
few solutions. But how do you get around a site that requires you to login to Paypal?
Will this then still work? I doubt that it will be possible.

    Appreciate and keep well.

If any of the above works I'll PM you Bev.

With Entropay, you have the option to use the card multiple times, you can even refill it multiple times if you want... And you get to see the statements as well. This means you can literally create a new PayPal account with this method, because all you need is an email id, a C/C number and 4 digit code that appears on the C/C statement. This code appears in 3-4 days.

So yes, there are solutions for everything.

And then you might as well open up a bank account in US. Its not all that difficult, and there are perfectly legal ways to do that as well.

      Hi Eaglechick,

I got some good news for you!

I'm also from South Africa and I do have a Paypal account. People from
SA are allowed to sign-up for Paypal but we can only use it to sent
      money.

I got my cc linked to my paypal account and making payments is easy.
Just sign inot your PP account and select your cc on file and click the
      payment button.

If I remember correctly, Paypal did charge me a $1 "test" payment to my
cc but it was reversed by them a few days later. I had to mail them some
number that appeared on my cc statement related to that transaction to
verify that the cc belongs to me.

Apparently (not too sure about this) you can recieve money also but you
cannot withdraw / get the Paypal debit card. Never tried it myself.

I second Bev's question, I've been wanting to find out the answer to that for months. Maybe a Warrior of her caliber will finally get a clear answer.

It would be really nice to provide an alternative for those who feel ""left out".

Technically, it is illegal for paypal to do half the things people claim. HOWEVER..... A LOT of cases where I hear details, I figure THAT is why! Paypal then does it to protect their consumers, and their ability to continue business.

If you don't have paypal, but do have a valid credit card, you can still go ahead - the payment link for the War Room signup goes to paypal, but there's a "use your credit card" option.

From what I see there, paypal does accept credit cards - looks like this is all countries...

That's his name - all Warrior payments show like that.

    Bev,

If you have a person without paypal that's a member - you can always get them to have you login to their WF account and use your paypal to pay.

Obviously that only works for people you trust and that trust you.

You haven't needed to have a PayPal account to make a payment through PayPal for a long time. They will accept payments from anyone with a major credit card. As the poster above me stated, there is a link on the form to pay with a credit card. I don't remember where it is as I have not paid attention to it in some time, but it is there.

Clifton is kind of an odd name in the US. Maybe he had less trouble with it(Name calling, people mispelling, etc....), or liked, his middle name better. as I recall, Allen IS his MIDDLE name. At least in MY day, that wasn't very uncommon. I Actually did that MYSELF until I was like 10. And a LOT of people drop things like JR. Bill Gates, for example, goes by Bill Gates. His LEGAL name is William Gates III. III basically means that there iss a William Gates Jr that was born before he was. W.G. I=W.G. Sr. W.G. II=W.G. Jr W.G. III usually means he is the son of W.G. Jr.

So don't worry, it is the right account. Besides, he has done this for a while, and I am sure he checked when he first used it.

BTW The logo and name at top are changable when you call paypal.

    Hi,

I just tried to join the war room.

I can use paypal though had not set up an account until today. However apparently $37 US is above my spending limit for a new account so I have to wait until paypal puts a $3 charge on my credit card and it shows on my statement so then I can get the code to verify my paypal account. So the war room will be a few days away.....

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any way of just giving credit card details without creating a paypal account.

I just checked to make sure that I was not out of my mind, as I have seen it dozens of times. When you get to the page where you log in to your account, on the left there is a sentence "Don't have a PayPal account?" with the credit card graphics below it. The word Continue is a link to pay without an account. You enter your information on the form on the next page.

I've been harping on this for a while now. I joined the War Room last Christmas
Eve. It was my present to myself. ONE post (Chris Sutton) changed my whole
outlook for IM and another one (Tiffany Dow) has made me many times the cost
    of joining. Just do it.

I'm confused about the same thing Tim mentions..

Can someone who has a credit card sign up using paypal without a paypal account or no?

I've been told yes a thousand times yet people still want another way to pay.

If they have a card, and can use paypal without having a paypal account then there is no reason to set up another way to pay. Would really like to find out this for sure.

        Incorrect.

It is country specific. It's a pain, but true. People from 'accepted countries' for that option see different options that are not available to others.

Allen, it seems papal doesn't accept credit cards if the details of the cardholder (age, origin etc) can not be determined. I create netsafe cards to make online purchases... They work everywhere apart from paypal. Otherwise, most credit cards work with paypal. An alternate payment method would be great though.

As I have said entropay cards work with paypal.

Well, thing is that signing up for paypal is not necessary the direct payment page is there but if paypal is not providing service to a country then it doesn't accept any credit card originated from that region, and those countries are not even there in country combo box on the payment page. So, for someone like me to join War Room there has to be an alternative, something like moneybookers, 2CO or clickbank.

Well I am sorry for leading everyone astray. I know that PayPal used to promote that you could use them without even having an account. Of course, I spend most of my time in the USA so I guess I see that page if it is driven by some IP code.

    Hi,

Just thought I'd update you on my PayPal saga.

Having gone through the verification process with my credit card and entering the four digit number into paypal, I thought great I will be able to pay by credit card......umm No.

Even though my credit card is verified I can't actually use it. All I get is the message "Sorry, your payment won't go through. To make it work, you'll need to add money to your account and pay with your PayPal balance."

The only way to add money to my account from a US bank account which is interesting given my address and credit card are from New Zealand. There is no option to change payment method or pay by credit card. I have emailed PayPal but do not expect a response anytime soon.

My main reason for letting you know is for those selling their own products. There is something I really want to buy but can't as PayPal is the only option. For more sales you might want to think how people outside the US can make payment.

As for the War Room, thankfully Allen set up Authorize.net which worked like a dream!!

      Hi, Amenda,

Allen has put in an authorize.net option. Just click on that when you join the war room and you can enter your credit card and billing address without an issue. Much easier than PayPal.
