Need some guidance on affiliate, but I am good at design and adwords

I was hoping to get some help or guidance, or just some kind of resource to get started with affiliate marketing.
I am really good at webdesign, webdevelopment and I would say okayish with adwords. I already spend £1000+ a month on ads for my own business to generate leads. But this is a service business and I want to get a foot in the door of affiliate marketing.
My mind is blocked as to where to get started, finding a good product and actually marketing it. For my own service it is easy as I know the 'product' inside out and I gradually improve it daily. But....for other's products I find it difficult to try sell or put a landing page together.
Can someone point me in the right direction on where to start or even a good structure to look at?
