Monetizing YouTube Guitar Lessons
I'm just looking for some advice on monetizing a YouTube channel by doing guitar lessons and tutorials of other artists songs.
So I have seen some people on YouTube doing guitar lessons of how to play popular songs by big artists (eg. songs by the Beatles, Eagles, Guns N Roses, Nirvana etc.) Many of these people are selling guitar lessons and products on their website and are obviously using their YouTube videos to drive traffic to their websites selling these products.
Now, I've been looking into this topic a bit as I'm trying to follow a similar model as this but I read that doing this is copyright infringement and the artists are entitled to royalties from any money you are making from the videos.
So my question is are they entitled to the royalties that you make of the ads on your videos or are they also entitled to the royalties that you make from selling products on your website?
Can anyone give me a good detailed explanation on how some of these YouTubers are doing this or direct me to a good resource on the topic?
Thanks
