How to find investors for mine site

Hi all,

Let me just say that I am not looking for an ad network, as I already am partner with UK network and an affiliate with bet365.

What interests me is where could I find investors for mine site?

I have a fairly decent unique visits numbers raging from 150.000 to 200.000 unique visitors per month, with over 450.000 page-views. Site is live since 2009 and is in english, most of the visitors come from UK. Niche is football (soccer), and Football Manager, most popular football menagement simulation game, sold in millions each year!

Also, site has over 10.000 twitter followers and over 20.000 Facebook likes.

Recently I started a new project on the site, where I pay mine writers based on how much page-views they generate, and this is the part where I need investors.

I need someone who would be willing to take care of the writers payments, at least this. Also would need to invest for social media promotion.

Any ideas where should I look for investors that would be interested in this?

Site currently earns roughly 1.000 GBP per month via sponsored posts and site ads.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Regards,

I don't see how your plan is going to work. You make 1.000 GBP per month and you want to pay writers and also for people to promote your site on social media? And what about your own profit, where is that coming from?

Who is going to be willing to "invest" in your company when the profits are so small they can't even cover the costs of daily operation let alone anything for the owner?

Say I was an investor looking for a good place to put my money. What do I care about pageviews and likes?

I care about one thing: money.

If I invest 1 dollar, I want $1.5 back each month.

You're talking about $1500 monthly income. I'm not seeing where my $1.5 is going to come from as I assume you want to be paid for whatever it is you're doing.

A site like yours, if the income's been happening for a long time, could be sold for something like $30,000. Or, you could increase the income to more than $5,000 and investors might start thinking you've got something that will make them money.

Or do you have a plan that shows it's a piece of cake for you to make the site make lots more money than it currently has?

Anyway, Google angel investors and you'll get people/companies that invest in new companies.

Don't know one that's good, just where to start.

If you were in the States, I'd tell you to go to SCORE.com, set up a meeting, and ask them. Do you have something like SCORE.com where you are?

    Thanks for critical replies.

One thing I forgot to mention, the site is also mine platform for selling the game, Football Manager.

When the game gets live and is released, the site sells around 1.000 copies for the price of 50 GBP per copy.

If you're making a profit, then why not just upscale what you're doing already?

Almost anything can be outsourced or automated. Paying writers based on page-views would be something that can be automated (or at least mostly automated), so you just pay a programmer once, to write something that will do that, and then it works on automatic, for free.

For social-media promotion, FaceBook Ads could work, and would be easy to up-scale . . . test it with different variations, learn and improve, then when you've got the best results you can, up-scale. Or get on the JV forum and offer a JV with someone who can grow social-following.

How will you determine your profit if you're just paying on page views? You could be giving your writers more than you earn.

Why not consider an ad revenue sharing scheme - https://developers.google.com/adsens...evenuesharing?

That way you wouldn't need an investor, Google will automate the revenue sharing and you will grow at a profit, not a potential loss.

Note: Your site was founded in 2009 and is only generating £1000 per month. Most likely this wouldn't interest any investors.
