Help Kindle Publishers!

I just published my first Kindle ebook on Amazon. I have it in a Free trial period to help promote my book and get some positive reviews to help stimulate sales. What ways do you guys use to get your books in front of readers. This first one is basically to get my foot in the door and see if it is worth it. I really would like it to be a successful one as I enjoy researching and writing. Thanks guys

    Hi J,

Starting a blog, showing off your expertise in your niche, and linking to your eBook - both free and when it's premium - is one way to drive downloads.

Build an email list. Email eBook to the list.

Here's my fave tip of all time: the #1 way to promote an eBook (free or premium) is to write the next eBook. Learned this from James Altucher. Write, to add to your library. Write, to promote your current offering. Write, to have fun, to open more passive income streams and to express yourself.

When a reader digs 1 of my eBooks they have 125 of my other eBooks to choose from.

So....give your freebie away through your blog and through your list. Also give it away to connections, 1 to 1, through email. But add the next eBook, and the next, and keep writing and writing and writing some more and you'll be A-OK when folks get to know your writing style.

In truth, my free giveaways rocked but I started making traction sales-wise when I aggressively promoted all of my eBooks and of course, when I started writing a ton of eBooks versus focusing on just 1 or 3 or 5. Keep writing, keep writing, keep writing, and you'll boost those downloads.

    Happy self-publishing

Signing off from really, really sunny Cyprus.

find your target audience, find there they reside (website, blogs, ets), and become a prolific contributor to these blogs, and slowly but surely start luring them in to read your book

Thanks for the input guys. Is there anyway to get people to review your book to help boost the sales? I have it up for free for a week to have readers read and review but have not had any reviews.

There are author groups on facebook. Just search facebook for ebook and/or kindle book authors. Many of these groups have people posting their books and asking for reviews. And if you take the time to give a nice review for others, and let them know, they often return the favor.
