I went through Charles Ngo's newbie fast track and he talks about using voluum for tracking and liquid web for hosting. He mentions that if you use voluum you dont need extra hosting. What exactly would I be hosting through voluum and do I need both voluum and liquid web?

    Liquid web hosts your website.

But you have to send traffic to your website.

Voluum records and measures where your traffic is coming from. It also shows you which affiliate products visitors are clicking on. So you can know for sure if you're getting results, and where, and hopefully make appropriate changes to get even better results.

Hey Kevin! My guess is he's referring to the fact that Voluum is hosted on their servers.
They host it, they track for you, so you don't need to install any software for it.

Some other tracking platforms like CPVLab and Propser202 are SELF-Hosted, which means they run on your servers. So in order to get it to work, you may need to get a separate domain for it (ie - www.mytracker.com), and then connect it to hosting, too.

So that's probably what the guy is referring to.

(If you don't want to get a separate new domain, sometimes you can set up your tracker on a subdomain of your main website too)

    Anyways hope that helps

Bottom line. Voluum rocks. So if you do go with it, you can't go wrong.
