The designing elements are my challenge, I outsource these and it is costly however I prefer the highest quality design work and I don't have time to learn InDesign myself. While I pass on the cost to my clients for graphic design, if I knew how to do this myself it would add an edge to my marketing offering.

Yeah, a lot of people struggle with this one.

There are, however, quite a few free tutorials online for gimp (free) and photoshop (paid) on youtube. So depending upon what you're doing it's not too hard to learn if you're so inclined.

Several years ago, I bit the bullet so to speak and just learned photoshop. I'm glad I did.

Driving traffic has always been the biggest obstacle for me. I think it is because I do not stick to one method long enough. I really need to focus on a method or two and stick with them for a month or so and then measure the results

You should not generalize it. While it may be the most difficult for you, it may be the simplest for another person.
For me it is list building.

That is actually right direction- it is better and much more cost efficient to outsource some work to professionals. This way you do not lose focus on business goals. It is a common mistake of online store owners that they wish to have all developed inhouse.

A simple calculation gives you always right answers- is it worth in long run to do it in-house or this will be one time only job.

Most people just don't believe that they can succeed. In the back of their mind it is telling them that they will lose and not succeed.

Finding good traffic sources that work is a challenge too, even for me when I got started. The best thing you can do is to test all sorts of places to see what works and what doesn't FOR YOU individually. Don't look at what other marketers are doing. Just see what works best for you.

Good point. A lot of finding what works comes down to testing to see what works. Even copy/paste methods don't always work for everyone. Ultimately, the only way to know for sure is to try it and see.

Sometimes a person best option is to take themselves away from the situation and try to regroup and reflect on what they have tried so far, and why it has not worked.

A lot of people arent seizing opportunities for success because they dont believe they can succeed. Even if they could do something that would make them successful, they dont believe they can do it. It is in their mind that they are a failure. And that self-limiting belief is enough to stop them from taking those critical first steps for success. A lot of people are not aware that theres greatness in them. They dont believe that anyone would want the value that they have to offer. Their actions can change if their beliefs change. They need to step out on faith and believe they can do it. This is just my opinion.

Honestly, I have and continue to struggle with EVERY area on your list from time to time.

Writing salescopy - I have struggles writing this myself and have been overcharged by pro copywriters.

Product creation - I have had big success selling new products that I introduce every 6 months. But always coming out with something bigger and better is very hard if you have been in this industry for years on end...Big thing here is staying engaged and staying a few steps ahead of everybody else as you progress through the ever changing world of Internet Marketing.

Like I said, I have struggles with EVERY single area you mentioned at one time ore another...and even right now!

Interesting, free traffic is the biggest problem.

I'm curious how many of those folks actually participate in the niche they target. Are they just building sites and walking away or are they actually involved in the niche outside of their own site/s?

As we see from the pool results, what most of people struggle with is driving free traffic. Maybe, the solution is simpler that we might think? Maybe, there are no free traffic at all? We spend either our time, or the money. And there is nothing to struggle with.

What I'm struggling with is to stay focused and disciplined in my online business.

My biggest struggle is converting traffic into actual paying members.

I know there are a ton of new people coming onto the net everyday to buy, but it just seems that competition from similar niches to my own is at an all time high.

There are just so many good products/services these days, I REALLY have to up my game to stay competitive.

My big thing is traffic to offers and I am currently applying my first serious strategy.

I found the system that has the training years ago and invested in several of the products. I just never focused on learning to drive traffic to offers at all but I realized it this year 2016 and now got a going ad campaign on Bing ads learning how to make it work.

Earlier in the day I posted a video on my fan page about how it is going:

    https://www.facebook.com/Achieving-Y...8876873842229/

The system allows me to focus on my weak links and as I learn I can grow and expand the way I choose on my own time. So right now it is traffic and mainly that.

The two biggest ways I've found to convert traffic into buyers is:

      1. Crafting a better salespage
      2. Deploying an engaging email campaign

With a 3rd being Facebook retargeting, and it's a distant third for me. The two big ones seems to do most of the work for me.

I'd start by giving stuff away on facebook, which redirects to optin salespage.

Then expand to a blog. Give high-value stuff away, like plr.

Then create your own product/course, and sell it as a wso or on jvzoo.

Do some blogs and youtube videos promoting your offers.

It takes time and work, but it works.

Good point, what we often call 'conversion' in IM is really 'closing the deal.' It's sales. It's often more an art than a science. Ask some IM folks here to look at your offer/salespage, and give you some feedback. From my experience marketing is not about one method, it is about testing out different methods. So be prepared to experiment a little, and try out different things.

Deciding whether to focus on free or paid methods like blog commenting, forum posting Vs Facebook and Google Ads.

As well as managing my ROI verus my spending power in balance.

I also came to realize if you want to make a lot of money fast, the best and most realistic way is to select high ticket affiliate programs.

    However here is another problem.

In order to promote those, you yourself also have to invest like most customers.

    Programs such as MOBE.
