I don't. I hate informational videos and sales videos. I can read at least 10 times faster than listening to someone drone on.

Gives the product/site more credibility/professionalism but i wouldnt have everything in the video. I would combine with text and video

We live in more visual world now...people read less.

I like it both...but I prefer video training better then reading

This is a debate and video vs non-video. I LOVE video personally, however not everyone does. The reason vary that they cannot skip to what they want to learn about etc....I implemented both in my Video Marketing course making more shorter to the point videos allowing people to skip to what they want to learn as well made a workbook because people do have different learning styles.

    I personally LOVE Video
    - I am more visual, I can repeat something I can see.
    - I can listen to it while working on other stuff and back to it.
    - It is a method of marketing that has great potential that few are using
    - It is more personal
    - It is a lot easier to make then writing a article

And of course its evolution from the old media like books and papers to new media: Video, audio etc. But i hasn't been around for no reason all these decades... It is still useful to skim through info and find info fast! Since video doesn't offer that (yet?) text will stay around for a long time, if not forever.

People have different learning styles. If done right, video can offer skimming. When I made my Video Marketing course, there are 32 videos. All short (2 mins to 15 mins) and to the point. That way someone can skim and choose what they want. I got this idea from another thread, thanks WF, on a similar discussion. It is a integrations of different types.

It would be an interesting test to have a landing page that gives the user a choice to read to view the video. I don't know what would happen. It might just confuse them.

I find it's sometimes really hard to get across what I want to say via text.

Video is all about expressing your personality and enthusiasm about a subject!

Surely better than reading a load of text?

I would buy a video based product over an ebook any day.

    Proson...

    I don't love video... I don't love text.

I love interesting, informative and entertaining content that
speaks to my needs. Whether that comes in the form of video
or text it's all good to me.

People are lazy, and for some reason video converts at some stupidly higher rate than text alone.

It is quite cool to see the person behind things sometimes also, instead of tons of text to wade through.

I don't particularly like using video, but sometimes it is just easier to get across what you want in this way...especially for screen capture vids!

I would much rather read a printed off PDF, than have to stuck at my computer watching videos. I absolutely hate videos.
