Shy About Revealing Personal Identity On My Opt-In Page

Howdy warriors,

Instead of using my personal identity (name, photo).. could it be a good idea to use a "corporate" identity... using the name of my website... filling out the identity by describing its purpose (in an "about" page).

Something like:
"The mission of 'mysite'.com is bringing you the most time-saving, hyper-effective fitness information and fitness products available anywhere."

Thanks for your thoughts!
Scott

    Why not?

I use my real name, pen names and my corporate name in my businesses. Which one I use depends on the customer base and in the case of IM the niche. For niche markets online I do tend to use a pen name and have never had any issue with that.

Some people say that using your real name helps to "brand" you as an expert and.... all that other stuff. It's up to you to do what you think is right when it comes to revealing your identity. When it comes to building relationships I use my real name and picture, but in niche marketing and affiliate marketing it's not that important to me.
