Craigslist - Can you post one ad in every category without getting ghosted?

Craigslist says "you may post to one category and in one city, no more than once every 48 hours."

According to Craigslist, hypotheticaly you should be able to post one unique ad and product in every category in your city without getting ghosted - as long as you follow the rules. Has anyone ever been ghosted by posting unique ads in multiple categories within one city, all on the same day?

I have a feeling they would ghost you if you posted a unique ad in 30 different categories in one city, even though you aren't breaking their rules.

Well, one of the primary reasons for flagging/ghosting is posting your ad in an irrelevant section. Craigslist is the ultimate judge of which section and sub-section your ad belongs under. It would be hard to imagine that your ad is relevant to 30 sections.

So, the best way to determine the relevant section is as follows. Type your target keyword(s) into the top left search box under your main section(For Sale, Services, Jobs, Gigs, Housing, etc). Then look at the top left section of the search results page. That list the breakdown of the sub-sections by post volume that contain ads for your niche. The sub-sections are basically sorted by relevance for your target keyword(s) and is your guide to where you should be posting.

    Hope this helps

We actually do have products for almost every section in the for sale section, though 30 was just a random number I chose as an example.

      Thanks.

They do not want you posting the same offer across multiple categories or posting it multiple times per 48 hours. You can post to every category, if what you are offering is relevant to the category. You can post multiple times to the same category, as long as each offer is for something different.

We have products for most categories, such as TVs, clothing, baby stuff, etc. My understanding is exactly as you say. I understand the rules. I was just wondering if anyone was still ghosted for posting too many ads, even if you followed all the rules. I feel like Craigslist has something against volume.

Agreed! Even if you follow all the rules and post in the proper section, your post can still be ghosted.

If your account gets banned , go mobile and create a new account. Turn your phone off after you create the new account and do this over and over to create multiple accounts. If they ask for a phone number download a 2nd phone line app and use that, unistall and reinstall changing your number as needed.

Good grief! If you're gonna do all that, might as well find a legitimate marketing method that doesn't rely on spamming Craigslist.

Why do some people invest so much time and energy into cheating the system when they could just do things the legit way?

The Flyp app offers a very versatile and inexpensive way to secure multiple phones to use for account creation.
