Hi

I have just had a writer write 10 articles for me. How do i check if they are not copied from somewhere? I tried copyscape but you need to publish the articles on your site first. Is there a website where I can just paste the full article and it ca check if it is copied from somewhere ad how unique it is?

A premium copyscape membership will do that and
IIRC a premium account can cost as little as $5

There's another way to make use of copyscape and that is to put all your aticles on a blog post that you've created. Copy that URL and paste it on the front page of copyscape where they mentioned 'URL link'.

This, obviously allows copyscape to check your contents for free hence, saves your hard earned money.

That's true, but it's always suggested that you don't cross 2000 words when checking through copyscape.

Copyscape is 'the' tool to check your articles for originality.If you purchase 100 credits for $5, 100X2000 words.

or choose longish sentences from the articles, and search for them in Google. Remember to put them in quotes.

That's essentially what copyscape does (although it uses the API, and goes down to 3 word shingles).

  There used to be a free piece of software that would do this on your desktop.
  
  Just checked and it is still available, it compares two articles and also can go online to check. Take a look it may help DupeFree Pro - Avoid Duplicate Content and Online Content Plagiarism
  
  I haven't used it in a while so don't know how accurate it is, but must be worth a look.

Copy and paste the whole article at Plagiarism Checker

Make sure to check duplicates, both in Google and Yahoo.
