Need inspiration? Bloggers pulling down $500K a year

Just a reminder of what can happen if you pair HARD WORK, focus, and a dedication to constant audience development: The Credit Card Obsessives Who Game the System

Of course, educating people isn't the only motive: There's plenty of money involved too. Peterson says that some credit card bloggers pull in more than $500,000 a year--and that's not including all the free travel they earn from their own accrued points. Credit card blogs today don't just have display ads and sponsored posts, bloggers also work with credit card companies to promote certain cards, and in return make a profit through affiliate links. Some credit card blogs have even been acquired; The Points Guy was sold to financial services company Bankrate in 2012 and the Frugal Travel Guy blog was bought by Internet Brands that same year.
Not only can you fly for free, you can earn half a million blogging about what you love

Layer on list marketing and cross promotions for a tight, highly portable, and scalable passive income

No joke! Amazing how such a narrow, focused niche can be so lucrative. I'm definitely inspired by stories like this (and hooked on income reports! LOL) And I totally cheer for the ones pulling it off - I definitely wouldn't want to "game the system" or juggle cards and points, but more power to those who do!

Foods bloggers too, they will go around take their expensive camera while go various restaurants , etc places to eat and review.

" Some restaurants even give them money to kinda write " some fake reviews " to lure customers.

Blogging can be a great source of income if you know what you are doing. Plus, it takes time to succeed with your own blog.

I know one guy who did not see any success after a year with his blog.

How to judge that fellow success after a year with his blog? Hmm perhaps hard to say just one year? It does take a lot of times to mature especially for blogging right?

Just a reminder, there are an estimated 152 million blogs on the internet and 172,800 blogs are added every day. (this is old data so there are actually a lot more blogs now )

I would think only about 0.01% of these blogs will ever even make minimum wage. This last part is just a guesstimate. But, how many blogs will make $500,000 per year? Obviously, a lot less than 0.01%.

true, but not all bloggers are IMers

most of the bloggers are just typing into the wind..

you gotta think that if you're a blogger AND you frequent the warrior forum then you have a huge leg up on the competition.

I am convinced that over 95% of the people on the warrior forum are not making more than minimum wage from IM. I have no data to back this up, so I may be totally wrong... but, this is what I think.

What gives you the impression that the vast majority of people on WF make less than $15K per year off IM?

What are the figures you would tout and what are they based on?

It's just years of reading posts around here. 9 out of 10 so called newbies are totally broke and desperately looking for a miracle.

They are in a highly suggestible state, they believe and try anything. Mostly, they will never make a penny.

Again, as I said in my reply, " I have no data to back this up, so I may be totally wrong... but, this is what I think".

I wish I had some data. I would love to know the real figures. BTW: please feel free to convince me that I am wrong. I am happy to learn...

You also need to take into account that many people here love to give the impression that they are making gobs of money, when in reality, they most likely are not. The number of successful bloggers making an income above what would be considered minimum wage is infinitesimal in comparison to the number of people blogging.

              I am happy to learn...
Impossible to find accurate figures on this. This is the point in the thread where all the posers will appear in order to tell you how either they, themselves or someone they know are 'crushing it' as a blogger. I'd be willing to bet that the only thing they are crushing are empty beer cans against their forehead. lol

Someone elses success has absolutely no bearing whatsoever on what YOU can or should do in your business.

What 99.99% of all Warriors need is not more motivation . . . they're here on the forum searching for answers.

They need a workable selling system that they can do and they need to apply themselves to making that system work over the long haul.

I love to read these kinds of stories. While they represent the exception, rather than the rule among bloggers, it illustrates what you can accomplish with hard work, drive, determination, knowledge, and a clear audience. Most anyone COULD do this....only a tiny fraction of a fraction of a percent of people actually WILL do this. Inspiration with this kind of story is terrific and enjoyable to read. But, people must remember the inspiration needs to be followed by action to have any chance of success. Knowledge to back up that action, and the drive and determination to make it work are the other ingredients that go into a winning blog.

I am partly involved in financial niches, and I can say that they are very lucrative.
Unfortunatelly, I am not a native spaker of English (hm...), and it's difficult to be 100% correct.
I enjoy expressing my thoughts and knowledges, so, guys, if you are fluent in English, do not hesitate to create yet another financial blog
And yes, I do aggree with Steve:

Not only motivation is what all Warriors need, but focus. Self-discipline and focus - this is what a lot of people lack!

Personally I am inspired by Pat Flynn, John Chow, Matthew Woodward, Just a girl and her blog, PinchOfYum, ShoutMeLoud.

And I am a blogger as well ))

    Yes, blogging is incredible.
