A question about the sale of three premium domain names

Hello to any domainers who are reading this,

You may have heard of Go-daddy's tech bug, where premium domains they had that were selling for thousands were and maybe still are being snapped up by people like me for the price of a registration fee.

Anyway, I managed to hear about this glitch in their system and I got three premium quality domains, which I now want to sell to raise money for three non-profits that are close to my heart.

These are aged domains with premium dictionary word combinations, that are highly brandable.

I'll list one domain for the sake of the questions, the other two are quite similar :

1. Betaloans.com

The person who alerted me to the glitch said that these domains would be worth at least $12,000, if I held onto them for a year.

I'm not going to sell them immediately, but I would like to get the money to the organisations relatively soon.

Now for the questions,

1. Would you advise me to hold off selling these on Flippa for two weeks, or would you say that it would be perfectly fine to list them in three days time?.
2. How much would you pay for a Flippa Domain of that kind two weeks after registration?
3. Do you think that it would be worth $12,000 after a year?
4. Do you think such a domain name would be in high demand?

Thanks in advance for answering these questions, I look forward to the responses.

I'm no domain expert but my first question is how would holding on to these domains for a year greatly increase their value? I just don't see them being much more valuable, or any more valuable, than they are now.

As for betaloans.com, I'm not sure what qualifies it as a "premium domain" or how you've arrived at the conclusion that it would be worth "at least $12,000" if you held on to them for a year.

I thought it was just ignorance on my part not knowing what a "beta loan" is, but after multiple google searches it appears there is no such thing as "beta loan"? So I ask, what is a beta loan? Unless it's an actual loan that people are actively searching for, I don't see the value here.

    As for the questions:

    1. I don't see any added value by holding on to the domains. I also don't see much value in listing them on flippa. If "beta loans" are a things, I would look to sell directly to an investor or business.
    2. Personally, I wouldn't buy it for the $10 registration fee.
    3. No, unless I'm missing something.
    4. No, unless I'm missing something.

You may think they are worth $12,000, but you still have to find someone who thinks similarly and is willing to actually pay that amount. Otherwise, the domain names value remain exactly what you paid for them. Nothing more.

Also, all the big domain sales are made through Sedo, not Flippa (although, of course, there is the odd exception).

I don't think it's worth $12,000, it's just your though. For the price I think it's around mid $xx or lower.

By all means, sell "betaloans" to this person that said it would be worth $12,000! He must know something no one else does.

Selling a domain for a premium price is very, very simple. Just find someone that will give you the money you want for the domain. If you can't find that someone then you'll understand what your domain is worth. It's only worth what you can get for it.
