Hello Warriors!

So what is your typical routine after you publish that article in your blog? In other words, what do you do to promote that post?

A typical strategy to promote articles is promoting them extensively on social media and content syndication websites. However, I would highly recommend you to read this wonderful article https://blog.kissmetrics.com/17-advanced-methods/ giving a complete idea of how to go about promoting your content.

    great question!

    Here is what I do...

BTW, i never post on weekends.. my content seems to spread better during the week.

1st tip - I share it on Viral Content Buzz | Social Media Sharing Made Easy and add 100pts to it

2nd tip - If i have outbound links then i contact those webmasters and ask them to share it, its win win...

3rd tip - I schedule and broadcast it to my list...

4th tip - I add the link as a card to a related video on my YouTube channel.

That's about it... All these tips help out but tip 1 REALLY makes a traffic impact quick... It's important that your headline is good though... Here is the pattern i use, got it from Neil Patel:

number or trigger word / adjective / keyword / promise

    EXTRA TIP:
Having a stellar headline also leads into another technique I use for even more TRAFFIC:

Share it on social media. Depending on the article and list I sometimes send out an email as well

Send it to my list, and ask them to share it on social media.

You can share it on social media to get backlinks, but as soon as you do that, write a new article each day or 5 days a week.

New content everyday or every other day is the KEY.

I use buffer to autopost to multiple social media accounts. Also I use IFTTT to post to tumblr, blogger etc.

After I publish a post I immediately share it on social media, like Twitter, Linkedin, Facebook, etc. Then I track the number of clicks each gets. If a post does well and gets a lot of clicks, I let it be. If a post doesn't do so good, I try to figure out why. Then I'll make any necessary changes and promote it again on social media. I've actually had pretty good luck doing this.

I also try to cross-promote posts. If 2 posts are related, I'll be sure to put a link within the post itself (even though it shows up in the Related Post section at the bottom).

I create high quality content meant for readers, instead of search engines, so this usually increases my post's organic search engine ranking. I get traffic from that if the post is of genuine interest to people and relevant. Search engines reward that kind of thing.

If I want to do some extra promoting, I'll put a link to a particular post on my Twitter account and/or Facebook page.

Like others in this thread have pointed out, social media is the way to go these days.

I have pretty good luck with Facebook. StumbleUpon is also good if your content is really interesting or unique, but the traffic can be quite spiky. Never had much luck with Twitter, but to be fair, I haven't really given it much of a shot.

If you have a couple dozen friends/fans willing to share your posts on Facebook, you'll definitely see results. With StumbleUpon, your post will get a lot of thumbs up if it's truly unique and interesting, it's highly dependent on the content... and with StumbleUpon it really is HIT or MISS. There's not much in between from my experience.

I know they're considered corny, but don't forget to give your posts really sensationalist headlines like "This guy walks into a bar. You won't believe what happens next...". Of course, you'll have to apply it to your own niche but you get the idea. People love sharing that stuff.

The first thing I do after I publish my blog post is rewarding myself (drink a cup of juice, exercise for a few minutes).
It may sound a bit weird, but if you've read somthing in self-development, you know how important it is to be motivated all day long

You did it, you've just written that blog post!

The other steps are a lot like what's been written above, but I prefere using automated software like (OnlyWire).

hey there here is a good blueprint:

    • Share on all your social media account up to 3 times that day
    • Content outreach for influencers
    • Emailing your list about your new post
    • Promoting that post via paid traffic
    Thanks!

    Here's what I do

    1) Find related tags on Twitter and Tweet accordingly

    2) Find influencers on Twitter and engage them with @ mentioning their previous tweet while mentioning the bit.ly of my post

    3) Post the url on related FB groups but use different DRAMATIC INTRO text each time - you want to get people to DISCUSS your content not just dump the link and run

    4) Do the same as #3 for Google Plus communities

    5) Go to my list of related niche blogs and comment on their latest posts to CREATIVELY segue to my latest blog post (you must be creative to do this / not all blog posts on third party sites are appropriate for this)

    6) Go to my list of related forums and create topical discussions - the first few posts in the threads MUST NOT have my link - the key is to foster REAL discussion

    7) Create derivative media from my post and promote those (FB picture quotes / document shares / slid shares / pics for pinterest and instagram)

    8) Send the blog post link to my mailing list

oh yea, try to isolate which one of these methods is working best for you and scale upon that source..

so if wordpress jetpack or google analytics is telling you that your images on pinterest are bringing in more traffic then why not test out their paid ads...

    best of luck,
    Ike

I believe the best way to promote anything specially article is to find

a busy website that has a lot of viewers or users, and if your article is good

and juicy enough for them to check no need for you to do anything people will do the rest

    for you
