Looking For An E-book I Saw About Making Post In Forums & Creating A E-book From The Post

I read an ebook a while back about someone that posted a question
in a diet forum about whats the best "diet program"

He then collected their email address & sold them the finished ebook
with all the post in it.

Just think how easy it would be to make the ebook & then turn
around & sell it right back to them lol.

Not to mention copyright infringement issues no matter what forum you try it on.

Do you see the glass half empty or half
full? The difference can mean success or
        failure.
The simple things seem to be the most
        effective and most overlooked.

Not here at the warrior forum I know not to do that.

I'm talking about posting a question in say a diet forum asking how they
lost the most weight & what product they used etc.

And then make a ebook from the post, which by the way would be one of
the best ebooks there is from people who have found out what works & what doesnt work.

I'll search more in my ebook collection & see if I can't find the ebook.

It doesn't matter what forum it is, it would still be copyright infringement.

Basically, everything is copyrighted upon creation of the work. Even a forum post can be copyrighted. That copyright is typically owned by the poster, though some forums may have a terms of use agreement that stipulates all submissions became their property. At any rate, the bottom line is that forum posts are not public domain.

So, if you take a bunch of blog posts and turn it into an eBook, you're asking for trouble. You may slip by simply because people won't care or won't catch you, but still, the potential for problems are there.

On top of that, the reliability of forum posts could be questionable as well. How do you know if someone really found a certain method or pill to be effective? How do you know they aren't someone trying to promote a certain method or pill?

Forums are useful for research, for getting you headed in the right direction and so forth. It's good for leads on methods and information, but you shouldn't rely solely on forums for information. Make it part of your research, not the sole source.

If you plan to basically turn a forum thread into a PDF and sell it, you're just looking for trouble.
